It's a very honorable gesture from President Trump ...

dude, please just shut the f - k up

Why do you want the war to continue? How many people must die before you'd say "Enough"?

Sending one crazy to deal with another crazy can only make it worse.

Trump could only do more damage, there is little merit in making it worse just to reinforce an egomaniacs self perception.

Trumps pro Russia Pro Putin history would make him an unacceptable option.

Well, why do you want the war to continue?

Trump doesn't have the ability to negotiate an end to the war.

FFS, he doesn't even have the ability to drink a glass of water with one hand.

The war is unstoppable now.

It's fueling itself on patriotism and vengeance, on the Ukrainian side, that can't be dialled down by diplomacy. Hundreds of thousands have had to flee their country to safety and have since learned that, of those who stayed, many were raped, tortured and murdered.

The Russians are facing the prospect of global humiliation on a scale not seen since its exit from WW1. Hundreds of thousands have fled across the borders from Russia to avoid being involved in a neo-Tsarist military adventure - another parallel with WW1.

Putin should consider the fate of Tsar Nicholas II.

again meister , when someone with 6000 nukes is cornered, its probably wise to offer them an off ramp

Fair deal, give Hungary and Turkey to Putin. Zelensky builds a 30m. high statue to Putin with bare chest and jock strap in Donetsk. Sell the scrap metal and give to Russiki citizens and make them rich.

No.

Nuclear blackmail must be met with targeted destruction of key infrastructure.

Putin was trained by the KGB in last years of the USSR. The problem with such training is that it does not need to resort to subtlety. And so President Putin blundered into this war with no real world skills other than intimidation, if you can call that a skill. As text book bully, what does Putin do? He plays his last card first, by threaten to use nuclear weapons, if NATO intervenes. That was back in February, and each time he or Lavrov repeats the threat, it loses its shock value. "Yes, Vlad. We heard you the first time." So what does he do, this master or Russian bluster? He adds, "I am not bluffing." Gee! That changes everything, doesn't it.

All of this can only mean one thing. Putin lives in fear.

Even without nukes, the world is not going back to the pre-war status quo. As for India, they need to make some choices, because if they get into trouble with China, they will need friends, and they are not making any right now.

We are benefiting from ... the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq.

Since independence, India has followed the Nehru doctrine of the middle way - nonaligned and effectively neutral.

Russia and China will always be neighbours to India and so its security lies in minimising tensions between itself and those two.

On the other hand, India is a democracy and sees the US as its democratic model for socio-political development - The US with Indian characteristics?

What to do? What to do?
