Don't forget their uncanny ability to read the weather and never be caught by any sudden change or anything...

Nah - they used up an area and before moving on torched it so the grass would grow back - just like any farmer might torch a field and let it grow back lovely and green for the stock....

All the BS you see on TV - had a lady Elder up this way doing a 'traditional burn' of a tiny patch... as if that was what it was all about and not torching an entire huge area and just letting it go ... she said what a wonderful feeling it was to be able to do that again... so meaningless and with the RFS standing by.....

She didn't - never has - TGD is talking through his convoluted arse as he always does with his word salads on economics.

It's so convoluted you'd need a set of these to eat it. Grin

In that story I posted about the Pintubi 9 there's a statement by 1 of the kinfolk aboriginals out tracking them to bring them in that they could smell human faeces on the air from 1.5 klm away from the 9's camp.  Grin

What's that tell ya?

Oh dear, the persistent problem of blind Conservative ideology unable to analyze the meaning of words; here again is what she said:

"Constitutionally enshrining the very voices that exist within the structures that perpetuate the ideological notion that Aboriginal Australians are inherently disadvantaged, is constitutionally enshrining failure: Jacinta Price"

So she claims the very real disadvantages  (eg, a decade lower life-span on average; and unemployment, poverty and incarceration rates many multiples of those of non-blacks on average)  are "ideological notions", rather than structural in nature.

But the disadvantage IS real.

She is confusing structure with ideology because she can't see the structural causes of the disadvantage; she prefers to blame what she calls 'the ideology of disadvantage', -  the old conservative trick of blaming the victims of disadvantage for their plight.

Blacks are not 'inherently' disadvantaged (whether according to some 'ideology' or not), they are 'structurally' ie, systematically disadvantaged.

What causes the disadvantage if not their Aboriginality?

Is Linda Burbey a Federal minister on merit or totemism? Price, Thorpe, Dodson and the other 7 Aboriginal federal parliamentarians?

How did they overcome the structural, systemic disadvantage? Pearson? Grant? Prof Megan Davis and thd Uluru voice lawyers? Merit or tokenism?

The incompatibility of the colonists' economic system with that of the aboriginals.......and the former crushed the latter without compensation, retraining,  etc.

They all have what it takes to get elected as an MP; I'm not sure how much "merit" is required.....

Answered previously: their family background enhanced  their transition to the colonists' conquering (though vicious) economic culture.

So it IS inherent Aboriginality.

There is nothing special about Aborigines except being the most primitive people who survived into the modern era. Does that 'earn' special consideration? Maybe for a century or two.
After all that, no.

Aborigines have zero excuse for the way they treat each other. Zero. People so savage to each other deserve no sympathy from outsiders and certainly no excuses.
I have fcck all to do with Bongo raping and clobering his wife and his wife neglecting and starving their kiddies. I am not making them do it. They are doing it because of who they are.
Normal people do not do this to anyone, let alone their own.

No one is a 'systemic rapist and wife beater and kiddie abuser'.

And that Poppets - as I told you long ago - is the long range reason Albocorp even began this nonsensical and doomed 'voice' campaign.... to bring all these things into the public eye for close scrutiny, via offering unwarranted advantage to a bunch of whining layabouts, and actually stirring the mass of the people to action.... thus creating of Albocorp the heroes of the Aborigines AND the heroes of the common folk they appear to be ripping off - alongside their Liberal mates with our national parks and similar Abo dick-sucking - while actually bringing real pressure on the Aboriginal Industry to apply meaningful change or go down.

No fools, these Labor apparatchiks.  They know exactly how to milk the best kudos from any vile action.

Who now - in the general population - is NOT aware of the $100m a day handout money that does nothing, the endless array of representative bodies etc all at public cost that achieve nothing, the over-representation in politics in every way including by having non-Indigenous sympathisers and running dogs... the never-ending violence, crime, social disruption, running wild, and ridiculous marches and protests over nothing?

Who HASN"T heard of every facet of the Aboriginal Issue?  They'd have to be deaf, blind and stupid and still asleep.

NOW!  What are the solutions?

Not inherent; Pearson, Dodson, Burney and others are doing quite well (for reasons I explained: non-black family connections, etc)

Quote:

Maybe so, but see how the concern re race is a diversion?

"It's the economy, stupid".....specifically, lack of employment for all.

Quote:
Aborigines have zero excuse for the way they treat each other. Zero. People so savage to each other deserve no sympathy from outsiders and certainly no excuses.

Careful.....I believe the entire nation (97% non-black) has a partner-abuse problem of egregious proportions - eg, one woman murdered every week.

See above, the famous mirror is coming into view.

Quote:
No one is a 'systemic rapist and wife beater and kiddie abuser'.

The problems are worse among disadvantaged groups.

(quick google):

Which group of people are most likely to be subject to abuse?
Children and adults with care and support needs are more likely to be at risk of abuse. Adults can be at risk because of a number of reasons.
