Yep, talking about myself. If I am capable of being a functional member of society, so too can other people.

Six out of ten prefer to lolly-gag in the warm sun.....

No they don't "prefer" that.

I have seen groups sitting on Broome beaches, surrounded by broken booze bottles paid for with sit-down money drinking themselves to death.. nothing to do with  "prefer".

Quote:
..catching fish on the evening tide.... sandy beaches, drinking rum every night.... home for a piece of pussy or two .. wait for your fortnightly cargo cult dollars to arrive in the account for your ten kids who don't eat much and don't need to go to school etc so no costs .....

Sounds idyllic, but according to the gap stats, including crime and incarceration, far from the reality for most.

Quote:
Only a white man or a yellow man would set out to destroy such an idyllic lifestyle.....
Did you ever notice how you ambush yourself time after time when the facts are on the table, dividie?

gosh...a real clanger ... ozpol is great for a chuckle sometimes...the "idyllic lifestyle" exposed above.

Quote:
Now launch into calling me some neo-con oppressor again with a belief in some antiquated system that you have no idea how to change or fix but which we all have to live by to get by .... forget the facts.. a decent serve of rhetoric will always win the day...

Well, the system is certainly dysfunctional...and check out the group of economists determined to fix it (see the latest post in the MMT thread).

I'm not very interested in propaganda - if I'm right then we've won - if not - we've lost....

All smarmy talk and not much solid - and the reality is that the demand is out for POWERS - and once you go down that path - another Waitangi Tribunal is on ...

There are NO powers accruing to an advisory body which is already totally unnecessary and is in reality only a nice little lifetime earner for a few of them while the rest continue to live hard until they finally wake up and get into it for themselves.

That's what Albo has brought us - and that is where it will end.... shape up or shut up or ship out - everyone is sick of the bullshit.

NO, thanks... they're just going to have to fit into modern Australia...

She's making that mistake BECAUSE blacks as a group are suffering the egregious stats aka 'the gap'.

Quote:
The idea Aboriginal people don’t currently have a voice is a lie. The Voice will take away our voices.

Nyunggai Warren Mundine AO

Mundine's error is to fail to recognise the system** is stacked against aboriginal voices who are locked out of employment relative to non-black voices.

**note:  most countries in the world have some arrangement for unemployment benefits ...just to dispel the conservative notion that "go get a job" is the answer to  unemployment.

Rubbish ... yet more rubbish.

But there is already an established 'Voice' in Politics for the Aborigines.
Why do you think the 'Media' version will be any better to usurp the already established one 'in politics'?

There's been a lot of talk about having an Indigenous Voice to Parliament which will be voted on in a referendum later this year.

A lot of talk? People are talking about it? What a Revelation.

The Voice would provide permanent representation and recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Constitution.

The "Noble Savages" already have permanent representation and recognition in the Constitution.

It would be a new body that represents First Nations people from across Australia to provide their input into federal government, decisions, policies and laws.

It will be a Third Parliament based solely on Race - it will be Apartheid and the division of Australians according to Race like South Africa.

The Voice would be an advisory body, but it would not have powers to overrule parliament, commonly known as "veto" powers.

And as such it can gum up the works and all the legislation and acts of the Cabinet will be bogged down until the Voice and the advice on every single thing the Cabinet and Parliament does will be subjected to delay after delay and Lawfare in the High Court.

But for a change to be made to the Australian Constitution, voters must approve of it being amended through a referendum.

And the Constitution will not be changed for these corrupt and evil destroyers who only want Australia destroyed.

The unemployment rate for Australia is 3.6%. If 23% of indigenous people are unemployed, they need to up the ante and find work. If they are doing nothing for 6 months (including not doing job training), they should lose their benefits. If I have to abide by those rules, so should they.

If you believe that figure to be accurate then you're very gullible.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-02-07/landmark-yamatji-nation-native-title-decl...

Best yez all identify as 'borigines and get your cut before it's too late.... I'm sure most of you could do with a lazy half a mill.... one big party ......

I TOLD YOU SO!!

I didn't vote for them..... NONE of them in the parties.

All this, after I explained to you every first world country on the planet has arrangements for the dole - for a reason.

Uh, yeah. It is documented here on OzPol that I am a recipient of JobSeeker. But, at the very least, I work part-time hours to relieve the burden on the welfare system (and my own poverty).

Again: talking about yourself. Blacks as a group experience much higher unemployment AND non-particpation:  "The number...of Aboriginal people (which) was not participating in the labour force (44.1%) cf non-blacks (23%)..."

FFS, divider, of course I am referring to experiences I have had. What other resources can I use that I know very well? If I look up research articles on the topic about what other people have experienced, then I would be talking about other people -- which would be on par with talking about my experience. So, that makes YOU as guilty as the charge you lay against me.

Btw, in 1788, there was a 100% non-participation in the labour force. The only exception was the indigenous guy that Captain Phillip was using as an ambassador to try and reason with the natives of Sydney Cove. Indigenous people of the year 2023 do not participate in the workforce as much as non-indigenous Australians because indigenous Australians get paid just as much on welfare as they would working a 38-hour week.

With the experiences of my working life, there is a high underemployment rate. Not gullible at all.

You can STUDY the causes of unemployment, by learning about macroeconomics.

No; we both have to learn about the macroeconomic (ie, economy wide) causes of unemployment, regardless of our own experiences with employment/unemployment.

Quote:

Wrong again.

In the black culture, EVERYONE particpated in the h-g economy, there was no 'unemployment'.

irrelevant. see above.

aka 'the poverty-industry'. It's a disaster.
