the desire for prosperity is shared by all people everywhere.

Yes. a banal and obvious truth even children can grasp - like 'all people desire to sleep, breathe and eat food from time to time'.

"Banal and obvious" , only to a comfortable, fake "freedom values" ideologue like yourself.

"Sleeping, breathing and eating" aren't "desired", they are basic instinctive physiological natural processes of living organisms.  See how easy it is to refute your greedy, fake "freedom values"  ideology....

Who doesn't desire prosperity? Have a think.

So....another question ....after your previous effort fell flat...

Answer: greedy, fake 'freedom' ideologues who put their own prosperity above others, hiding behind obsolete classical economic concepts of 'scarcity'.

Too late. The CCP is proving even to the Chinese people what it is. The world always knew, but the last 2 years have proved it.

Wrong, the Chinese people have experienced gdp per capita increase from $200 to $12000 since 1980, an experience under CCP direction they won't easily abandon.

And the CCP has shown it CAN comply with the   legitimate protests of people, as opposed to illegitimate fake "freedom values" demands to abandon "socialism with Chinese characteristics", reverting to the deceptive Western "the poor are always with us" narrative.

Quote:
The CCP puts its leaders' accumulation of stolen wealth above the lives of the Chinese people, let alone their prosperity.

Fake "freedom values" propaganda; your evil Western  "the poor are always with us" ideology will be swept away into the dustbin of history, as the economics of sufficiency supplants the obsolete economics of scarcity.

Quote:
The people having to pay for covid tests and for their incarceration in covid concentration camps... Oh, the prosperity.

Lucky for you covid caused a setback in China. That story will soon run its course, as China establishes trading relations with developing nations in the ME, S-America, and Africa.

btw, the other day, the entire world (in the UN) - except 2 nations - voted to remove the US-enforced sanctions on Cuba.

The world has its eyes on your  fake "freedom values" lie.

Li Keqiang, himself said the income levels of Chinese people as reported by the CCP are inflated and meaningless given the cost of living. I guess that would be why Hu Jintao patted him on the shoulder as he was expelled from the party congress - 'You're next, buddy'.

The CCP had no choice but to play the charade of backing down given there was no way to explain the covid lies they'd been telling the Chinese people that would be believed by them.

You can be sure that the covid end-of-covid-restrictions scam will continue but hidden away from the world and the Chinese living in Tier-1 cities. Urban Chinese have very little interest in rural Chinese and very few Chinese people travel across the country except to their respective ancestral regions during ancestral observance days, so the scam will continue uninterrupted away from the Tier-1's.

The CCP never tires of dreaming up ways to defraud the people of their savings - even to the point of closing down banks and ATMs and just crudely refusing to allow them to withdraw cash - which, of course, doesn't exist anyway as it has already been stolen.

So, the mantra "the poor are always with us" in the CCP context has a corollary to that, 'and we intend to make more of them'.

The covid setback in China is dwarfed by the anti-covid machine the CCP set up that has set back the Chinese people by decades and will not be dismantled for years - and then only after the CCP has established its replacement scam.

I vote for Abbos to go and get fkkn jobs that's what i would vote for with an unemployment rate at an all time low we need them to get off their black asses and do some fkkn work and send their kids to fkkn school and not leave them to sleep in fkkn skips while the Elders get fkkn pizzed as parots in the fkkn park.

Just to keep you in touch with reality:

https://www.msn.com/en-au/money/careersandeducation/quarter-of-a-million-unemplo...

Quarter of a million unemployed young Britons are planning to NEVER get a job, survey shows

"Almost half of those unemployed said they felt their education had not given them the skills to get a job, while 68 per cent of all young people reported feeling ill-equipped or not confident in their skill set when looking for a job.

City and Guilds CEO Kirstie Donnelly said those young people who face 'additional challenges' are falling behind their peers.

She said: 'High youth unemployment has been an issue for more than a decade and the pandemic was just another challenge heaped onto an already creaking system that makes it incredibly difficult for young people to convert their aspirations into good jobs.

'In addition, our research found that young people who have faced additional challenges, such as young carers, care and prison leavers and those who come from less affluent families, are falling way behind their peers in the labour market at the earliest stage of their careers.

'The current system is baking in inequality and preventing millions of young people from meeting their potential."

This in the UK which also has a listed unemployment rate of 3.6% (like Oz), so-called "low unemployment".

You are ignoring the nature of the current job market, and its demands for high skilled jobs.

Plus, the "low unemployment" stats are a sham: the number of underemployed and people who  have given up looking for work and aren't even counted in the stats, has never been higher.

Which gets us back to blacks in Oz, and the chances they have in this current high-skills-requirement labour market.

Quote:
VOTE NO

OK, but either way the gap will remain to be closed.

About 18 onths ago the government scrapped all Abbo work programmes mainly in remote areas, at the same time they scrapped work for the dole for them because after decades and hundreds of millons of dollars they finally realised they simply don't turn up and I could have told them that from day 1, they are a lazy people, they can't even get up and get their kids to the provided for schools and closing this gap thing starts right there and it starts with them.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

No more handouts, no more mollycoddling, get on their cases and get their asses into gear, how and why do we contunue to support 250,000 plus Abbos who choose to live in places where there are zero jobs.

You completely ignored the situation (described in the link) of white youths in the UK and Oz who find they are not qualified enough to get a job in the present labour market.

Obviously the situation for blacks in dysfunctional families is even worse....

Well, it is a biblical quote: 'For ye have the poor always with you' Matthew 26:11.

Of course, it's unlikely Jesus was referring to the exploitation possibilities of the poor by a totalitarian regime as the CCP does to China's underclasses or anyone who has no guanxi with the CCP.

Instead of being accountable to everyday people who happen to be Indigenous, the real power over the voice would be vested in local and regional “voices” that would decide the membership of the new organisation.

There would be no requirement for the powerbrokers at these local organisations to be elected to office; and once in office they would control who sits on the national voice.

But there would be no need for them to conduct elections. Selection would be perfectly acceptable. This is spelled out in the report that, according to Albanese, describes how the voice will operate.

The Langton-Calma report also shows that the distribution of members of the voice between the states will be done in a manner that is best described as a gerrymander.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, NSW has 339,546 Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders, which gives that state 34.5 per cent of the nation’s Indigenous population of 984,002 – the highest proportion of any state.

Yet the Langton-Calma report would give NSW a total of just three representatives on the voice, the same as South Australia which has just 52,083 Indigenous people, the Northern Territory (76,736) and Western Australia (120,037).

But the greatest anomaly is due to the fact that the report treats the Torres Strait Islands, which are part of Queensland, as a separate jurisdiction and gives them two seats on the voice plus an additional seat for islanders who reside on the mainland.

When those three seats are included in Queensland’s tally, the sunshine state looks set to gain disproportionate influence over the direction of the voice.

Queensland, including the Torres Strait Islands, will have six of the 24 seats on the voice — twice as many as NSW.

Yet last year’s population estimates by the ABS show that Queensland had just 273,224 Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders, which is 66,322 fewer than in NSW.

If this is how the new institution will operate the government has some explaining to do before we are asked to embed such an undemocratic entity in the Constitution.

Why will Queensland benefit from a gerrymander that will allow it to dominate the voice?

Why will Indigenous people in NSW be under-represented?

Why will Indigenous people everywhere be denied the right to vote for members of the voice and – more importantly – to vote them out of office?

And if the government plans to allow membership of the all-important local and regional voices to be determined by what the report describes as “traditional law and custom”, will the Federal Court be asked to settle disputes about the content of those traditional laws and customs?

The bigger issue is that the voice looks like a throwback to less enlightened times. It will suffer from the same democratic deficit that once existed in this country under the authoritarian rule of colonial British governors. But this time, those exercising unaccountable power will be black, not white.

Chris Merrit

The idea came to me - there's a market here..... people could hoard these against the day when they become collector's items...

"Next item for orction at Northeby's... ... Item #768 with a very high Reserve... what am I bid for this single roll of Voice toilet paper minted and unused in 2023 and in pristine condition?  Opening bids?  You sir - five thousand guineas .... could I have ten for a starter .. you madam # 36 .... #47 ten two ......"
