That second concept with map looks awfully like a gerrymander to me ... the most populous states have less representation..... wouldn't be deliberate, would it?  First and second class Indigenous?  The Noble Bush Kaffir who will never hold a job etc or get near an institute of learning etc - has more of a vote?  More of a say?  The town Abos can go to hell (bit late)?

Jesus - the flaws in this lack of reasoning are becoming apparent every day......... building into the Australian constitution entrenched discrimination even within their own ranks... oh, well - that's what Dark Ages colonialists/Imperialists do...

This is where the advocates of this voice nonsense are..... trapped into their own rhetoric and desire to not lose face, just like Putin.

Just one more little justification... one more success story... and it will all be justified.. this robbing of your national till to feed a pack of meandering chat festers who have nothing real to offer to a dead argument.

Don't ever forget that Waitangi Tribunal - just an advisory body - now it has the power to dictate the resumption of any government lands onsold to anyone.... warned yez about definition and mission creep ....... but you all seem lost somewhere in the fanciful realms of good guys v bad guys and poor struggling powerless people with more goodies handed to them than many of you will ever have - for not working.

I sense a watershed coming in this arena of Indigenous Affairs.... once this nonsense falls flat on its face again after consuming millions and setting up its advocates for life (again) .... the call will arise for meaningful change - shape up or ship out.... no more free rides etc.... people are sick of this expensive bullshit going nowhere but down.... at their expense.

Yes,   well so long as people are hood-winked by that hoary old orthodoxy re "taxpayer money", they will never learn how to close the gap.

Not before we close the gap, which we must do.

Well - they're demanding to go their own way - well - let's just leave 'em to it.  Most will be dead in a month.

Survivor - Aboriginal Islands

... in this series we take two groups, one of men and one of women, and all Aboriginals, and post them on two separate islands to see who survives.

Can they make it without the rent money?
Will they eat their children?
Will the men do better than the women, or kill one another off Batavia style?

Who will win - Survivor, Aboriginal Islands!

.... coming soon to GrapplerVid .........................

Either way- yes or no - this is what the referendum will sort out, when we all discover the voice - or no voice - doesn't close the gap - the real problem is  the current rotten economic orthodoxy.

As Ross Gittins wrote yesterday: "Philip Lowe is not the problem, the system is rotten".

The Voice has FA to do with remote illiterate, unemployable damaged drunk abusing their wives and children. Or even about those wives and kiddies.

It is about the voice of Aboriginal activists like Lividia and the other city Abos. They want the power to manage the rivers of rent, compo, life-long money for nuffin' for themselves. If they really cared about their brethren in remote areas they would have already fixed it by now - there are far more middle class Aborigines that 'disadvantaged' remote ones. And not all remote Aborigines are dysfunctional.

The truth is, the Aboriginal activists in the cities don't give a *** about the 'dudfunctional' ones as those are from another, unknown tribe in an area they have absolutely nothing to do with. A Sydney Aboriginal knows as much about Tennant Creek Abos as Penny Wong or Adam Brandt or that Burney lassie. Nothing. Wrong skin.

That's right, but the current rotten system (Ross Gittins) has everything to do with the sorry state you describe.  "It's the economy, stupid".

Quote:

I'll agree....

Quote:

The gap disproves that assertion. I showed the unemployment figure for blacks some time ago, namely,  c 50%. "Middle class" blacks aren't on the dole.

Like I said, Pat Dodson assured me the government is looking at the old CDEP scheme. The funding issue will be the stumbling block.

Yeah - let's just see how many previous mistakes we can make all over again - as long as it involves funding we can get our hands on as the administrators of it...

Do you understand one thing about Aboriginal Cargo Culture and the Silverbacks?  When 90% of the funding will disappear into administrative costs and your mates like Dodson are the administrators........ I'll just leave that one hang in the air for a minute or two....

Two minutes later - now that we're all on the same track................... and all realise that those promoting this guff want to get their hands on the gravy train again..... and again ..... for their own very best benefit  ...... What Else Have The Spokespersons Ever Done For The Abos, eh?

Moving employment agencies back to the old CES would be a good start. The mistake was to privatize employment agencies.

Then one CES could liaise with local councils re necessary JG jobs, cutting out the gravy train.

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
