No surprise you've done nothing but sit on the sidelines of a topic unable to read AND comprehend what's written.

NOT 1 PERSON IN THIS TOPIC HAS DEFENDED A RAPIST! NOT 1!

Exactly.   Mr Smith seems to be making stuff up to serve
his own agenda—whatever that is.

He obviously doesn't have any understanding of how the
judiciary functions, or of the time-worn adage "innocent
until proven guilty".    Sad really.

Ironically, a right you lot have not reserved for Ms. Higgins.

I'll have you lot know that of all of the cases of sexual asault that are reported to police, only 16% end up with criminal charges.

Of those 16%, less than half result in a conviction.

Now consider, the overwhelming majority of sexual assaults are not reported at all.

Can you do the math?

But what do you lot do when a case goes as public as this? You hang her out to dry. And, ironically, cry victimhood for the accused whilst doing it.

Shame on you all.

You don't seem to have any doubt that he is guilty, yet she was found naked on a couch by security. This embarrassing situation requires an explanation. What was she waiting for, to get dressed? Passed out drunk, but remembers being raped? Maybe, but difficult to prove.

SHOW me where anyone has done any of those things...  you are carrying on like a hysterical banshee about the comments of a few people with no influence on this case or any connection with the media .... and who have never affected Young Brittany or Young Bruce in any way.

Pure hysteria.

I'm sorry to break the news to you - but people are entitled to form their own opinions and look at the hard facts and come up with their own conclusions.

I'll try again - defending the law when it is clearly under attack by some intent on changing it to suit themselves only, and simply standing for the rights of an accused - is in no way any 'attack' on the accuser.

That is pure hysteria on your part.  Is anything you claim above supported by hard facts?  Or is it just emotion, and profoundly one-sided at that?

Did you accord Young Bruce the same rights at any time - or did you simply rush to judgement based on an accusation?

I am so pleased to be left behind by the modern tide of hysteria.... and NO - you are not going to have people condemned in courts purely on the unsupported version of events of one person.

See what i mean?

Yes - that you do not accord to the accused the same rights as the accuser...... thanks for your confession.

Good work if you can get it.... of course Albo will rubber stamp it - thus applying his seal of approval to unsupported claims - he's in thrall to his feminist mistresses and handlers and is a total wimp in reality.  He rubber stamped jihadi brides who will come back here, be feted as heroic wives of martyrs for
Allah in a holy war, and whose children will grow up filled with the idea that their fathers were soldiers of god and they should be the same, and don't forget that Australia fought against them etc.

Poor Fellow - My Country - and talk about time for a massive reset.

Analysis Time:-

"I'll have you lot know that of all of the cases of sexual asault that are reported to police, only 16% end up with criminal charges.
Because there is insufficient evidence to continue.

Of those 16%, less than half result in a conviction.
For the same reason as above.

Now consider, the overwhelming majority of sexual assaults are not reported at all."
Pie In the Sky figure built on emotion.

Women's Legal Service (do Men have their own Legal Service?):-

https://www.wlsnsw.org.au/resources/sexual-assault/what-happens-when-the-legal-p...

Firstly:-

"As well as your statement, the police detectives will take statements from other witnesses including the person at the police station that you first spoke with.

Detectives will conduct an investigation and gather evidence relevant to the case. The investigation may include examining the crime scene and talking to any other people or witnesses who may be able to give information about what occurred.

If the sexual assault was recent and you have not already had a SAIK then the police will arrange for this to happen by taking you to a sexual assault service or doctor who can perform the SAIK.

The detective in charge of the investigation decides whether to charge the perpetrator based on the evidence. Sometimes, the police may seek legal advice from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to decide whether the evidence they have will be enough to let the case proceed to court."

Which of these steps did Young Brittany follow within a reasonable time?

Secondly:-

"If the police detectives tell you they are unable to charge the perpetrator it does not necessarily mean they do not believe you or that the sexual assault did not occur. It just means that at the current time they cannot find enough evidence to charge the perpetrator."

So - mothra - is there any chance you can cut it with the hysterics and your deliberate misinterpretations of reality?

The mothra principle in action - guilty until proven innocent and the only proof required for conviction and sentencing is to be denounced... Stalin would be proud......

Surely nobody in this day and age is so stupid as to not see that clearly or to understand the basic and very fragile protections provided to an accused by law.  Clearly mothra has about zero real life experience.... at the same time as she fearlessly attacks Lehrmann on accusation alone and has found him guilty, she fearlessly defends every Aborigine in the same situation or against whom there is ever more and substantial evidence and screeches to the high heavens that they are just victims..

Talk about selective ........ and totally bizarre.

Yes i see what you mean, Bruce should now be tortured to death after being found guilty of 1st degree RAPE by Brittany, the DPP wanker, the media and you, then all you do-gooders can walk away with that nice warm fuzzy feeling and Brittany gets a bonus $3,000,000.

If I never see ... is a turn of phrase used to emphasise the person's displeasure with someone - oft used by Dr  Zachary Smith in the old TV series Lost in Space.

If you ever see someone again, it is too soon. The saying is used to emphasise that any time in the future of meeting this person again is not ideal. But, if you never see someone again, it being "too soon" just does not make sense. Why would "never seeing someone again" be "too soon"? The sooner you part ways and never speak again, might not be quick enough. But it is never "too soon" to never see or hear from someone again.

"Leaving so soon? May we never speak or hear of each other again".

Frodo has always been an ignorant and uneducated nong. Dear God we've been putting up with his cringeworthy nonsense ever since he stumbled onto the Yahoo message board forums some 15 years ago.

It's now beyond embarrassing watching him slip and slide all over the place struggling to say something relevant. And sane. Occasionally we tell him to STFU. We mostly ignore him.

Methra is the same. More or less. Her inanity stems from insanity. Drug fuelled insanity. She totally misses the point probably because she "sees" what's not there. And then runs  with it hell for leather. Methra's marathon sessions provide a lot of forum "entertainment".

Did Bruce make the mistake of being born a White Man?  Clearly mothra thinks so, given that she will instantly crucify him but not Blacks or women regardless of their alleged crime and the proof attached to it...

Not sure if that is down to insanity on her part of just simple mental deficiency.

Incorrect.   What I and many other commentators are suggesting is that Higgins
may well be making up this "rape" story, simply because there is zero corroborating
evidence confirming her extremely serious claim
.  Which means the question
of an actual rape comes down to a "she said, he said" scenario.

I think you're exaggerating a bit Mothra.  We've not "hung her out to dry"... well
some of us have not at least.  What we are suggesting is that there are far too many
apparent contradictions in Higgins's story—she's changed her own recounting of
what happened a couple of times, and lied about two critical pieces of circumstantial
evidence, her panties and her dress.

Ironically, you've done precisely what you've accused "us" of doing.  You've presumed
Lehrmann is guilty, and that Higgins's claims are absolutely rock solid.  You've effectively
hung him out to dry.     How your opinion is any more valid than "ours" is beyond me.

Even worse, the media whore Lisa Wilkinson interview with Higgins was a disgrace that
should never have been broadcast.  Wilkinson should've been charged with contempt
of court for prejudicing the case against Lehrmann, and appearing to unquestioningly
accepting Higgins's story as true.

This image says a thousand words.   Your opinion Mothra?

...

PS: for Mothra.  Sexual assault does not necessarily equate to rape.
Sexual assault is a legal term used to describe a range of sexual offences,
from showing indecent images to another person, to kissing or touching
them, doing something sexual that makes them feel uncomfortable, as
well as penetration of the person’s body with a body part or object.

More than 84% of guilty rapists avoid punishment, Geoff. Most aren't even reported.

And of those few, as i said, 16% that have criminal charges brought against them, over half walk free.

It is all because sexual assault generally comes down to he said/she said. Furthermore, the victim is forced to have their lives ripped apart on the witness stnd but there is no requirement for the accused to do so.

Speaking of Methra .... dear God I had a shocker of a dream about her last night. I had better start a topic on that. Elsewhere of course.

👆 This type of half baked shallow "reasoning" is why women and women's groups aren't taken seriously. And will never be taken seriously. It's revolting that in 2022 THIS is where so called pseudo wannabe feminists like Methra are at.

What's more ...the illogical and almost fairy tale wishful thinking underpinning the same rants by these woke left wing nobodies pretending to understand what they're talking about totally disgusts me actually because it means more women will continue to suffer. There's just no understanding whatsoever of legal principles, legal practice and procedure and the ramifications to innocent human beings in attempting to change these by marketing half baked ill considered proposals as so called systemic solutions or even reforms.
