Interesting concept just occurred to me and raised at the sewer.

If he is acquitted, I suggest he better not repeat his denial out in public as if he does, she might sue him for defamation just like that woman in the USA is suing Trump after he denied her public allegation she made that he had raped her.  Trump's denial amounts to calling her a liar...so...defamation.

So when she comes out of the 'not guilty' thing and it is trumpeted all over the media as a miscarriage of justice etc - he cannot sue her or anyone else?

Pretty one way, don' cha think?  One rule for one, another for another.... so that's the way you prefer it....

Jesus - you could be a great advocate for the Jews in a court to see if they go to the gas chambers....

Of course he can sue her!!!!!

Ferfuxsake....read.

If he is acquitted......He can but he won't.  Guess why.

So Lehrmann wouldn't sue if found not guilty and the circus went on for the simple reason that under civil suit laws a jury is more likely to use prejudice and emotion to reach a decision?

So what is the 'balance of probabilities' there?

In a defamation lawsuit, is it the preponderance of evidence that is the standard of proof?

I guess no verdict will be reached.

Can't see a unanimous decision coming out of this.

If your daughter came to you and said she had been raped, you'd ask her "what are the balance of probabilities", yeah?

You'd tell her "Every man is innocent until proven guilty, so we'll just have to see how this plays out in court".  Yeah?

This is what you'd do?

Come on. Families stand by their murderer relatives.

What's your point? Blood is thicker than water?

My point is that the fat white old men in this forum are hypocrites.

When any woman cries rape, they rush to defend the alleged rapist. "Innocent until proven guilty"

However, if it happened to their own daughters, they'd be condemning the alleged perpetrator before it even got to court. "Guilty until proven innocent"

They're sick, disgusting hypocrites.

I strongly suspect that some are sexual predators, and even rapists.

'Jury'....in a civil suit?

While there can be Juries in civil suits, ordinarily, Judge alone.

And I say he will not sue not because of any Jury bias but for another very vital and obvious reason.  Come on Grappler...you have been playing expert in this matter ever since it began.

Why won't he sue civilly if he is acquitted?

You failed. All you have suggested is blood is thicker than water.

It'd be the reason jury members are not chosen from the accused's or the accuser's family and friends and the reason judges insist on the dispassionate consideration of the evidence.

Are you sure greggerypeccary is not FTLW?

No.  I stated the absolute truth.

And I stand by my claim that some here are probably sexual predators and rapists.

It's pretty clear who those people are.

You are being hysterical, peccary.... the normal response of a family is to call the cops and let the law take its course.... nobody stands in front of the daughter or whatever and says "but he's innocent until proven guilty" - that is not the province of the family, but of the law.

Your 'suspicions' are even more hysterical...... you are clearly losing it..... get into rehab quick.

Just raising questions and doubts and citing facts ... if that makes me an expert then so be it..... my humble views must be worth something then....

You said he wouldn't sue - I'm not your answer monkey...

What's to stop him getting on the stand in a civil suit and swearing on oath that it didn't happen and cite the simple reality that there is zero corroborating evidence?
