Brittany Higgins returns to ACT Supreme Court to resume giving evidence as Bruce Lehrmann trial continues

A former Liberal Party staffer has directly addressed the man accused of raping her inside Parliament House after returning to the ACT Supreme Court today.
Key points:

Brittany Higgins has rejected the defence's assertion that she was not raped
Ms Higgins directly addressed accused rapist Bruce Lehrmann from the witness box
A suppression order on evidence heard earlier this week has now been lifted, as Ms Higgins has finished testifying

Brittany Higgins resumed giving evidence in the trial of Bruce Lehrmann, after she was unavailable for most of the week.

Mr Lehrmann is charged with raping Ms Higgins in a ministerial office in 2019.

He has pleaded not guilty and says no sexual activity took place.

This morning, Ms Higgins spoke to Mr Lehrmann directly from the witness stand.

"Nothing was fine after what you did to me, nothing," she said.

Earlier in the morning, Mr Lehrmann's lawyer Steven Whybrow suggested to Ms Higgins that the alleged assault had never occurred.

"I don't accept it at all," she responded.

Mr Whybrow also asked Ms Higgins if she fabricated the allegations to save her job.

"I'm not a monster — I would never do anything like that," she said.

"You're asserting to me that I fabricated this just to keep my job and I care about my job, but I would never do that."

Later, Mr Whybrow once again suggested that Mr Lehrmann had never assaulted her.

She again rejected the assertion.

She also said she could smell what had happened on her - clearly the security staff had an olfactory blackout - as I've mentioned long ago - the smell of raunch would be obvious.

The cleaner next day said there was nothing unusual... no spots, stains, no condoms.

"I know" on the end seems a bit odd.... any of you phantom speech analysts?  I mean - we are dealing with a time when people 'know' that men can be women and women men, and men can gestate and give birth and breast feed, and in which 'ghost/implanted memories' can often be drawn from a person via cunning questioning .... 'know' is a funny word to use in that context.

What about - 'that's exactly how it was'?  "I know".. HOW?

But for what reason?  Seduced by the feminist madness these days?  The idea that she could become a public figure and take a short cut to election into parliament and riches for life by being a heroic victim?

Seriously - her Minister was an Army reserve General - debate that if you wish - it depends on Corps.... in the same position I would be 100% behind my staff if there was any problem, or the heavens fall.  Reynolds has nothing to lose by not supporting her own if something had genuinely been wrong.... her retirement is secure... she lacks nothing in life.....

And there is a code of honour.... an officer who does not uphold the code is anathema.... but in politics?

I will say again - if it were one of mine and wrong had been done, I would defend and support her, though the heavens fall.

I think her rape claim has been given a lot more credability by the evidence that she was found naked on a couch by a security guard who went to check on her welfare !!

But how did her clothes come off?
Maybe she undressed herself and begged him for a root?

In my humble opinion, I reckon she's full of shyte, rather than semen.

There's not one iota of even circumstantial evidence that Higgins was
raped.  The "evidence" as it stands is the CCTV footage showing her
and Bruce Lehrmann entering the minister's office, and the security
guard later finding her naked (but not distressed).  That's it—absolutely
no evidence of any sexual penetration.  Other than, of course, Higgins's
vague and drunken memory—or her two-year-delayed fabrication?

Well - if she was full of semen it might have helped
her case if she had a forensic medicine test.   Embarrassed

Incorrect.

Lay out your case and your time line .........

After the event... it starts off...

"I awoke with him on top of me."

Now lay out for us the progression of her story..... just so we understand the truth here.... for a friend.
