Nah - we're waiting for it to become legal to convict on accusation when the accuser is a woman...

And right there..you have been caught.

Woman accuses a man...has to be a nothing.  In his defence of her accusation about him......he denies.....yes......he is right!

Not guilty via sexism.
via lack of evidence amounting to absolute certainty.

What utter nonsense...  NOBODY possess the absolute right to have another found guilty simply on accusation.... not one thing sexist about it EXCEPT that this is precisely what the 'feminists' are pushing for - AGAINST MEN!

You are a very confused person - in this case the only evidence - no matter how forcefully put - is her drunken recollection of events...

So - you consider that because someone belongs to a specific demographic, they should have rights to have people convicted solely on their word, just by accusing them??

Where do you think you are living?  Stalin's Russia or similar?

"Citizen, you have been denounced!  You know how is working.... first you confess then trial with no belt to hold up trousers.. then quiet execution in Lubyanka cellar or maybe public hanging .... is for good of Mother Australia and all people... you understand.  Is duty of all citizen to simply accept course of New Law as good citizen."

You are more and more weird by the day, Aussie.... you've utterly lost track of reality.  Let us know next time you are accused of anything..... we'll all happily side with the idea that you are instantly guilty.

I have this site bookmarked for a concise description of the case:

Criminal Lawyer Explains Bruce Lehrmann & Brittany Higgins Trial .

Makes it a bit easier to kick start the old grey matter LOL.

Yes, yes - a nice viewpoint..... there must be others..... clearly the jury was in the throes of having to toss this around endlessly... but they're not crafty lawyers, eh, who instantly, by an arcane process, can determine whether or not a person is guilty just by looking at them... and have spent many centuries finding countless ways to prop up their legal shamanism and make it unassailable .. countless twists and turns all directed towards one end - establishing their hegemony in gatekeeping of law while running as fast as possible away from the basic tenets of MODERN law and its absolute requirement for completely fair dealing and only on provable facts, not just assertions no matter how sincerely or firmly put ........

Have you forgotten that this was a Jury trial?  Lawyers don't get to make the final decision.

This is a bit twisted - Young Brittany says she was concerned over her job - but apparently in the context that such a stink would cost the Libs the election.... not necessarily that there was any implied threat from Reynolds etc... and in fact she did not 'lose her job' - she quit later (after a decent interval?).
This all very murky - but you know how power works sometimes.

In the court of (OzPol) public opinion....84.2% have indicated there will be NO conviction.

Note (especially for Aussie): 👆 That result doesn't necessarily mean they're happy about it either.

Brittany also started contacting the defendant soon after the alleged crime.

Did anyone else catch that little detail ?

She's allegedly raped by this guy... yes? So instead of speaking to others the next business day/s .... she's contacting the bloody alleged rapist instead ffs! Why? She couldn't perform in her job and needed HIS help.

If I was cross examining her I'd be asking Brittany this :

1. Ms Higgins : Was the alleged criminal rapist your manager? Yes or no?

2. Just to clarify Your Honour : Did you Ms Higgins report to the alleged criminal rapist in ANY way, shape or form? Yes or no?

3. Ms Higgins why is it you did not approach your designated direct reporting manager about the work allocated to you by them?

4. Ms Higgins I put it to you that you approached the alleged criminal rapist (and said contact was initiated by Ms Higgins very soon after the alleged criminal event Your Honour) because you saw him as an avenue of trustworthy assistance.
