The Florida Department of Health (Department) conducted an analysis through a self-controlled case series, which is a technique originally developed to evaluate vaccine safety. This studied mortality risk following mRNA COVID-19 vaccination. This analysis found there is an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination.

The State Surgeon General now recommends against the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines for males ages 18-39 years old.

Individuals and health care providers should also be aware that this analysis1 found:
• Males over the age of 60 had a 10% increased risk of cardiac-related death within 28 days of
mRNA vaccination.
• Non-mRNA vaccines were not found to have these increased risks among any population

The Department continues to stand by its Guidance for Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccines issued March
2022, which recommends against use in healthy children and adolescents 5 years old to 17 years old.
This now includes recommendations against COVID-19 vaccination among infants and children under
5 years old, which has since been issued under Emergency Use Authorization.

Australian Bureau of Statistics data showed a 99.9% survival rate for those under 60 up to Delta variant when our vaccination rate was below 30%.

I guess the internet experts will disagree with the Florida surgeon general and take Lisa Wilkinsons advice

Conclusions:

In this statewide study of vaccinated Florida residents aged 18 years or older, COVID-vaccination was
not associated with an elevated risk for all-cause mortality. COVID-19 vaccination was associated with a
modestly increased risk for cardiac-related mortality 28 days following vaccination. Results from the
stratified analysis for cardiac-related death following vaccination suggests mRNA vaccination may be
driving the increased risk in males, especially among males aged 18 - 39. Risk for both all-cause and
cardiac-related deaths was substantially higher 28 days following COVID-19 infection. The risk associated
with mRNA vaccination should be weighed against the risk associated with COVID-19 infection.

These data are preliminary, based on surveillance data, and should be interpreted with caution. The
results have several limitations:

While this method has been used to assess risk of death following COVID-19 vaccination, it violates the
assumption that an event does not affect subsequent exposure (for mRNA vaccines), which may
introduce bias.

Further, it does not consider the multidose vaccination schedule required for mRNA vaccination.

Oh dear... Ladapo has a public history of promoting unproven treatments
for COVID, writing an op-ed in the New York Daily News in 2020 touting

Daniel Salmon, director of the Institute for Vaccine Safety at Johns Hopkins University, said Ladapo’s recommendations go against guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and American Academy of Pediatrics. Other agencies or medical associations, including the Food and Drug Administration and Mayo Clinic, have also emphasized that the vaccines are safe and effective.

“It looks to me like this is politics driving science,”

Salmon said on Tuesday.

“And the result is you get terrible science.”

U.S. Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Sarah Lovenheim called Ladapo’s analysis flawed and a far cry from science.

“COVID-19 vaccines have been proven safe and effective, and severe adverse reactions are rare,” Lovenheim wrote in a statement. “The benefits of COVID-19 vaccination — preventing death and hospitalization — are well-established and continue to outweigh any potential risks.”

Ladapo claims his analysis was based on a Florida Department of Health study showing an 84 percent increase in cardiac related deaths among men aged 18 to 39 years old within 28 days of becoming vaccinated through mRNA vaccines. Yet the medical community rejected the analysis Ladapo promoted.
