👆 Ohhh that's GORGEOUS!

My husband makes our cards and envelopes too. We retain these as keepsakes.

Up until now I used to think he was the only guy on the planet who did this lol.

Christmas shopping has been greatly reduced to "Secret Santa" this year. I spent $100 on groceries this week, including the present that I would add to the list. The only thing I am not looking forward to is leaving the house for Christmas day still untidy. What has it been? Like, 3 months of promising to clean up the house? And still, I have yet to even sweep the floor.

The tiny envelopes I painted for the kids present cards.

Working on the cards now.

The cards watercolour done.

Note: this done the easy way - nothing is original. That would have taken too long.

Tree is down and packed away, lights are wound on the reel and batteries removed, decorations neatly packed in bags.     Christmas 2022 is now securely taped in Bunnings boxes and stowed in the shed.

When the Kids were younger John, ours would stay up as well.  Now it is just us, once the Grandkids have visited and received their presents we clear the decks for the next event.    Coles down here were selling Hot Cross Buns on Boxing Day!

Yes it goes up on 1/12 and comes down on 1/1.

My Griswold neighbour had all the bells and whistles out the front. It was all gone when I got home Xmas night.

Oh well. That is all over for another year. I miss winter already. We have had summer for 3 months too long, and still another 3 months of summer until Autumn kicks in around April.

My sister had a neighbour (directly next door to them) that decorated the house in all manner of Christmas lights. They could have possibly won the Christmas lights competition, judging by people that went out of their way to drive up to Cotswold and have a look. Straight across from them, another neighbour had an arrow lit up with the words "Ditto", pointing towards the decorated house.

I could not get to sleep before midnight each night. But, I did notice that the neighbours turned their Christmas lights off after midnight.
