The left never say anything about Islamic death penalty for poofters while hurling the slur Islamophobe when defending this backward belief.

If you watched ABC 7:30 last night, you would have seen and heard Penny Wong avoiding the nasty aspects of the CCP in the same way. Leftists start out by saying, "We have always stated our position . . . blah blah blah," when they don't want to be seen as hypocrites when presented with a specific example.

Iranian government accused of 'sham trials' and 'torture' as protestors face executions

By Nassim Khadem

Before Mohsen Shekari was hanged in a Tehran prison, he reportedly cried out, "janam fadaye Iran", meaning, "I sacrifice my life for Iran".

About 500 civilians have been killed and more than 18,000 arrested since the anti-Iranian government protests began in September, according to estimates by the Human Rights Activist News Agency.

Mr Shekari was just 23 years old when he was hanged in a prison in Karaj, near Tehran, on December 8, after what Amnesty International described as a "grossly unfair sham trial".

He was the first known execution in relation to the protests triggered by the death in custody of Mahsa Amini.

Weeks later, he was found guilty by a revolutionary court in Iran for "moharebeh", translated in English as "enmity against God" or "waging war against God".

The charge, which the Islamic Republic introduced after the 1979 revolution, is often levied against people who are accused of committing acts against the government.

On Thursday Iranian soccer player Amir Nasr-Azadani was also accused of "enmity against God" and other offences.

Human rights groups like Amnesty argue Iran's government is using, and has long used, executions as a tool of repression, one that is designed to spread fear and quell the protests.

Rahnavard before being hanged: 'Don't pray, play celebrating music'

Since his death, a video has circulated on social media showing his executors asking for his final words minutes before he was hanged.

Blindfolded and asked, "What did you write in your will", he responds: "Don't pray (to the Quran). Just celebrate and play celebrating music."

Shame on the ABC for not reporting this accurately.

Why did the ABC leave the bit out where he said don't read the Quran?

Gandalf stated that Australia is part of Islam. These people are saying Iran is not part of Islam. Somebody is delusional. But bottom line, the Koran is not the word of God. This is the fact, that atheists at the ABC will not touch with a broom handle. Why? Because they support a type of Multiculturalism that does not recognize the umbrella culture required for such a society. In this case, it is the Australian constitution, which Gandalf and actual muzlums do not recognise. The ABC crowd will have their type of multiculturalism at any cost, including the lives of those killed in Bali. I would rather believe in a cosmopolitan society, its less ideological.

Maybe Media-Mafia America can send in Brad Pitt, some Hip Hop singers and Bruce Springsteen to liberate Iran from a culture of Librarians who's favourite read is called the Koran?

...from out of the frying pan.

The constant delusion followers of all religions have their so called Holy Books are 'the word of God' continues unabated.

The ABC used their muslim reporter for that. Of course a muslim would say don't pray to the Quran they pray to Allah.

Typical muslim leaving out the bit where the guy getting executed said don't read the Quran.

It's time to defund the ABC we don't need taxpayers funding their rubbish.

Iran is sliding into hell on Earth as hundreds learn their fate

With 18,000 people detained and an execution spree imminent, this country is descending into hell while the world watches on.

It took less than a month to investigate, arrest, judge and execute two young protesters in Iran. Now the trouble-torn nation is bracing itself for a killing spree.

On Monday, Majid Reza Rahnavard, 23, with hands and feet bound and a black bag over his head, was hanged from a crane in the centre of his hometown of Mashhad, northeast Iran.

Pro-government media broadcast footage of the event, including masked security personnel standing among concrete barriers to hold back the crowd.

He was arrested on November 15 and charged with allegedly killing two paramilitary police. He was not permitted a lawyer nor allowed to see the evidence. His trial was held in secret.

Shortly after Majid’s execution,Iranian state-controlled media announced up to 30 people – including three children – had been charged with moharebeh (waging war against god).

More than 488 demonstrators have since been killed as authorities attempt to crack down on growing civil unrest, reports Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRAI), a group which has been monitoring the protests

Now it fears the Islamic Shia government is on the brink of unleashing a devastating series of show trials and public executions to intimidate its population into submission.

Warring against god

Moharebeh is a Farsi word meaning “waging war against god”. It’s a charge that has regularly been rolled out against Iranian political dissenters and human rights activists since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. It carries the death penalty.

Now Iran’s theocratic (religious) government wants everybody to know that to oppose them is to oppose god.

“Indeed the requital of those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle, and try to cause corruption on the Earth, is that they shall be slain or crucified, or shall have their hands and feet cut off from opposite sides, or be banished from the land.”

So read a Quranic verse displayed on a banner at Majid’s public execution.

In 1988, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini ordered the summary execution of thousands of political prisoners to crack down on political dissent. The death toll is believed to have been anywhere between 2800 and 5000 people over 32 cities.

Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment,
