Note where that article calls him a philanthropist.

This is misleading. You are not a philanthropist to those you regard as slaves.

There are many verses in the Hebrew Bible which award Gentiles as slaves. And based on Zechariah 8:23, the Talmud says: "Resh Lakish said: He who is observant of fringes will be privileged to be served by two thousand eight hundred slaves, for it is said, Thus saith the Lord of hosts: In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, shall even take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you." - Shabbath 32b, Soncino Press, London.

This racism and racial superiority continues in the Book of Jubilees which states that Jews should rule over all other peoples of the world: "I am the Lord who created the heaven and the earth, and I shall increase thee and multiply thee exceedingly, and kings will come forth from thee, and they will judge everywhere wherever the foot of the sons of men hath trodden ... I shall give to thy seed all the earth which is under heaven, and they will judge all the nations according to their desires, and after that they will get possession of the whole earth and inherit it for ever." - Jubilees 32:17,18
