Please Explain

Failed Forty Five says he's anti-drugs.

Wants to summarily execute people on drug charges (watch out, Don Jr.).

If that's the case, can someone please explain this:

October 2020: "The five citizens granted clemency on Wednesday were: Lenora Logan, who had already been incarcerated for nearly 20 years on drug charges; Charles Tanner, who had served 16 years for a drug offence; John Bolen, who was 13 years into a life sentence for a drug conviction; Curtis McDonald, who has been in prison since 1996 for drug trafficking and money laundering; and Rashella Reed, who served six years of a 14 year sentence for food stamp fraud."

Why did Failed Forty Five pardon those people?

In a statement announcing their commutations, the White House described all of the individuals as having been model inmates during their incarcerations who had worked to better themselves and the people around them while still behind bars.

"In light of the decisions these individuals have made following their convictions to improve their lives and the lives of others while incarcerated, the President has determined that each is deserving of an Executive Grant of Clemency," the White House said in a statement.

If people on drug charges are summarily executed in the future (if Failed Forty Five wins in 2024), they won't be able to demonstrate that they're capable of being model inmates.

Please explain.

Estragon: I can’t go on like this.
Vladimir: That’s what you think.

He now says that he wants people like that summarily executed.

Why the sudden change of heart?

His minders showed him the polling data on killing drug dealers, Greggery, that's why. Also, he's trying to top Ron's record on Florida executions.

Mr Trump's a conviction politician, you see. Say what you'll do and do what you say. Under-promise and over-deliver, that's Mr Trump's motto.

Look, Mr Trump's conviction is to change his mind on drug reform. Also gun reform, abortion, his political party and Je-sus.

Yes, Mr Trump has finally repented and been saved by the power of the Holy Spirit. It was a most moving ceremony. I believe he even spoke in tongues.

You?
