Why would a business have a policy/culture of not letting customers buy a coffee for homeless people?

Is there a business with such a policy?

If so could you let us all know which business it is?

Groggy we BOTH know why YOU can't answer my question. As I'm a very fair person... I'll give you another opportunity to apologise to everyone for being such a dick.

Groggy is STILL hiding. Could it be because this topic is based on nothing but a fabricated lie?

That's right Groggy .... you CANNOT answer this question.

Why?

There IS NO SUCH ORGANISATION! An entire topic based on a lie! Have you thought about doing some volunteer work instead of wasting time finding 4 yr old articles and NOT providing the link which might expose you for the liar you are?

I'm asking for a few friends who post on OzPol.

Oh and Freediver himself knows what you did. He's seen the real article which is 4 years old and clearly states that NO SUCH ORGANISATION exists.

This was a real help to these pple- my brother was homeless for while while when he was alive- so you just never know who might need them! will post a link later!!

Good one   Smiley

Going back about 15 or 20 years I used to visit Sydney quite regularly.

There were homeless people everywhere.

Every now and then, in the winter, I'd buy a sleeping bag for the guys sleeping on cardboard.

They were always very appreciative.

And yes, anyone could become homeless at any time.

"There but for the grace of God ..."

But the question still remains: Why would a business have a culture of not letting customers buy a coffee for homeless people?

Everybody deserves a place to call home

Red Cross believes that everyone deserves a home that is safe, secure and affordable.

In an average year, Red Cross helps 2,180 people to find housing, supports 1,360 people at risk of becoming homeless, and provides 43,400 meals to people experiencing hardship.

This is the correct link to that site with the swags for these homeless pple-

Check it out and dig deep for you could be paying it forward!

I know it's quite possibly beyond you but perhaps she was trying to draw attention to an injustice we should all, quite frankly, be horrified about?

Could that be it?

And seriously, why are you more offended by her than by it?

smacking check yourselves.

That's the bit I can't figure out either.

They're shooting the messenger, and completely ignoring the message.

Why didn't the company allow her to buy a homeless man a coffee?

Why would a business promote a culture of not letting customers buy coffee for homeless people?

I just don't get this   Undecided

I wonder what happened after the investigation.

In response to the criticisms the firm posted a statement on Twitter.

It said: "Thanks for your concern, we will be investigating what happened yesterday."

That was three years ago, so hopefully they've changed their ways since then.

They've had long enough to get this sorted out, but they shouldn't have done it in the first place.

Maybe the fear of homelessness is not far below the surface for some? Didn’t pay H&C insurance to save that money for something concrete and urgent? Job not that secure anymore? Rising interest rates making it harder and harder to make the mortgage payments? Ditto rents?

And THIS TOPIC IS YET A CLASSIC EXAMPLE of Groggy LYING about an organisation with a policy it does not have! Groggy has not bothered with a link to any article because such an article would expose his lie. Not to worry...said article's link has been now given to a number of posters proving that THIS topic is TOTAL BS!

You're totally off your trolley I see.

Anyway .... back to the topic!

Does ANYONE know of ANY organisation that has a policy of refusing people who wish to buy a coffee for a homeless person?

Groggy needs to know the name of that organisation ASAP because this entire sham of a topic depends on it!
