"Yet there are people who have experienced high levels of exposure, such as hospital workers or family members of people who have had COVID-19, who have somehow managed to avoid testing positive.

"We know from several studies that vaccines not only reduce the risk of severe disease but also cut the chance of household transmission of SARS-CoV-2 by about half. So certainly vaccination could have helped some close contacts avoid becoming infected."

I've had high levels of exposure, and have managed to avoid it so far.

There was an outbreak in my father's nursing home just before he died, and I was in very close contact with several of the people there who had it - and this was before anyone knew they were infected.

Plus, my mother was in hospital for three weeks recently with COVID, and despite me visiting her nearly every day, I didn't catch it.

Plus, I was in a small ward for a couple of hours with four people who had it - before anyone knew they were infected - and I still managed to escape it.

Everyone at my work has had it, except me.

I put it down to my four jabs, and the fact that I always wear a mask in crowded places (or avoid them altogether).

Ok that's interesting.

I've had NO jabs AND I always wear a fresh mask if I'm out and about (which I keep to a minimum) AND I have hand sanitizer in my handbag at all times too.

Hmmm.

Hi Lisa,

I do not, cannot believe, that proposition.

IMO, everyone in Australia who lives in a city, or, in a large country town have 'contracted' [i.e. been exposed to] 'Covid-19'.

......it is just that many people who are in good health, have not, and will not, display any symptoms of what is, basically, a common old corona virus [yet another variant of the flu].

You may ask.....
Q.
If Covid-19 is simply another, common old corona virus, why have so many people, died from it ?

Good question.  !!!

I will pose another question......
What percentage of the Australian population have received   .....AT LEAST ONE CONVID-19 'VACCINE' JAB, during the last two years ?

Interesting.
I have not had covid. Was commuting to work all the way through covid.

I wore a mask, washed my hands, live a healthy lifestyle, took immunity boosters, used a strepsil as as soon my throat got a tickle.

And was lucky !

I've had covid. A weird kinda cold-y thing.
You'd have to be on your last legs anyway to die from it.
