This thinking would thrive in the 18th and especially the 19th centuries. It would mutate, vary in perversion and persevere for 400 years right up to the present day. Starting with theories of physical and intellectual inferiority that likened blacks to animals — monkeys and apes especially — or helpless children, it would evolve to infer black cultural and then social inferiority.

“What black inferiority meant has changed in every generation . . . but ultimately Americans have been making the same case,” said historian Ibram X. Kendi.

Such thought exists today with pernicious assumptions about the current nature of black life and black people, still featuring age-old racist references to blacks as animals. It persists despite the advent of modern DNA science, which has shown race to be fundamentally a social construct. Humans, as it turns out, share about 99.9 percent of their DNA with each other, and outward physical characteristics such as hair texture and skin color, about which racists have long obsessed, occupy just a tiny portion of the human genome.

Who persistly posts such bullshit about Indigenous Australians, continually, post after post?  Matty, Soren, Gnads. of course.  Tsk, tsk, tsk... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Are you a racist Brian?

When you answer mine or other poster's questions, Freediver, I might answer yours.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I'm guessing you probably are a closet racist.

Bwian is a closet racist AND a closet fascist (he uses other ids to post those types of ideas).

I don't think so. He strikes me as a typical Academic boffin who cannot get beyond a simplistic evaluation of humanity. His posts help him convince himself. He is not alone in a need to ridicule. Its a defense mechanism.

He is not an academic, never has been. He's an IT technician with a mail order Doctor of Divinity (not an academic qualification like a PhD).  Bbwian is an vain, uber-PC, confused and inarticulate Pecksniff. His wits only ever extend half-way, to yawning, eyerolling and tut-tutting.
On race, as on everything else, he holds contradictory, half baked ideas simultaneously. He has no leaning, no fluency, no logic, no common sense or wisdom.

When he did it in the 90s if he did it it, it would have been a one year specialist course work (ie no research) qual. Not enough for an academic position at a university.

It would explain your evasiveness.

Do you support excluding people from national parks on the basis of race?

Africa Nazarene University in Kenya?
