There have been some good documentaries made about Laurel Canyon.
Here's just one:
There are a couple on Netflix, Stan, and Prime too - well worth checking out.
Laurel Canyon gave us some great music and musicians.

Joni Mitchell, David Crosby and Eric Clapton at Cass Elliott's Laurel Canyon home For those unfamiliar with that famous old photo, Clapton was mesmerised by Mitchell's guitar playing (sure, he was stoned too).
Eric plays guitar in standard tuning, but Joni uses many different non-standard tunings.
Eric was trying to figure out how she was playing such wonderful chords with only one or two fingers.
People who were there that day say he was totally immersed in her playing and watched her for hours.
"While most guitars are kept at standard tuning, strung E-A-D-G-B-E from low to high, Mitchell almost never uses a standard tuning set-up for anything. Instead, her guitar could be tuned to any number of wild intervals that would baffle even the most complex jazz players."Micky Dolenz shot a lot of video footage that day too, but something happened to his camera or film (can't quite remember the full story) and none of the footage is available today
