That's why.

Cut out the middle man.

All Biden needed to do was have his staff go through his office and archives and return any documents that were classified.

Why did he invite the FBI, the FBI are not office assistants that help sort out your documents.

Then they are being played as fools, firstly the first batch of stolen documents were found in Bidens office back in November last year, then the FBI did not get involved. More stolen documents turned up in his garage and the FBI wait another couple of weeks for an invitation to search his home.

They're the ones who ultimately oversee this sort of thing, wow they really know what they are doing don't they.

First, Biden had authority to remove the documents and secondly, he had no intention to retain them (he gave them back).

But he did retain them. In an insecure garage.  And of course the "at least a locked closet". Roll Eyes

Retain: To keep possession of; continue to have: synonym: keep.

Even if, for the sake of the argument, he did intend to retain them in an authorised location it's still not breaking that particular law.

He retained then in an UNauthorised location... a GARAGE. Roll Eyes

Yes.

But he didn't break the law because he had authority to remove them.

Again, you must look at the word "and".

There are two parts to the crime - it's not two separate crimes.

No stolen documents have been found.

Not a single one.

Biden had authority to remove them.

When you have authority to take something, that's not theft - it's the exact opposite, in fact.

There was no FBI raid. The Biden team found the documents and returned them.

The FBI found classified documents in his Class 6 (similar to Australia's Class A) classified garage. That sounds like a raid. Roll Eyes

Of course being "voluntary" probably means Biden's team didn't expect anything to be found. Roll Eyes

What sort of cock head garbage is that?

You are telling me that a voluntary consensual invitational mutual seeking and find expedition suddenly becomes a 'raid' because of the nature of what might be found?

Idiot.

They're clutching at straws, that don't exist.

"raid: a rapid surprise attack ..."

Mr. Biden invited them in, and they were there for 13 hours.

Apparently there was a search done with the FBI yesterday and found a few more documents so this is different.

It still wasn't a raid. They are saying another 6 possibly classified documents.

Yes.  A collaborative search.

Biden invited them in.

The total is about 30 documents now.

The FBI do collaborative searches now, is this in keeping with the new woke movement. I'm struggling to find sense in someone inviting the FBI to come and search their home ...

Not the only thing you're struggling with though, surely.

Correct, there is also if the FBI are invited to search your property who specifies where to search, did they search all Biden's house and take hard drives and ask for all CCTV.

Why would the FBI be a lapdog and accept an invitation to search part of a house and only look where they are told to look. Is this the type of control the Dems have.

They had full access for a long time to search wherever they wanted to look. They are going to search other properties this has already been agreed to.

They knew Trump had documents and asked for them to be returned. Trump refused to comply with the requests and then refused to comply with the subpoena. Eventually he returned a few documents. After being chased further he returned a few more. Trump then declared that there were no more document. A search warrant proved this to have been untrue.

After the warnings Trump confirmed that all documents were in the basement room, Trump then had some of the documents  re located in an attempt to hide them. Trump claimed there were no more document when everyone knew that there were. Some of the documents were found in Trumps desk draw.

Don't you know Steampipe.
It's not who's right or wrong.
It's who has the deepest pockets.

Kids' cancer charities?

Oh, no - that was Trump.

Donald J. Trump Pays Court-Ordered $2 Million For Illegally Using Trump Foundation Funds

NEW YORK – New York Attorney General Letitia James today released the following statement after Donald J. Trump was forced to pay more than $2 million in court-ordered damages to eight different charities for illegally misusing charitable funds at the Trump Foundation for political purposes.

Why do you love this alleged child rapist so much, JaSin?

Are you a criminal too?

You condone stealing from kids' cancer charities - that makes you about the lowest form of life on Earth.

At what point in time did he remove them? At what point in time did he forget about them? Did he "intend" to leave classifies documents in "at least a locked closet" in a building he no longer used? Roll Eyes
