Trump cant win. But only 37% of Democrats that voted for Biden in 2020 want him to run again in 2024.

I hope you are right but he couldn't win in 2016 either. There is a very good possibility that he could win the republican nomination because of the Trump base. He is still favorite in that regard.

I would prefer for him to not run as well but what is the other option? I don't see a good one. They would not stand for anyone less corrupt on either side.
Trump won in 2016 because he was a novelty.
"How bad could he be?"
Well, Americans have seen how bad he can be.
He killed 500,000 Americans by denying that COVID existed.
He was impeached twice.
He lost the House
and the Senate.
He gassed peaceful protectors for a photo op.
He sided with dictators over America.
He committed several crimes whilst in office.
He played golf instead of doing his job.
He lied about absolutely everything.
He launched a terrorist attack on the Capitol in order to overthrow the government.
He lost an additional 4 million voters between the 2016 and 2020 election.
No, Trump won't win in 2024 - he has less supporters now than he did back then, and he lost the popular vote by 3 million votes in 2016 (7 million in 2024).
He'll be the candidate, but he won't win the presidency.
And when he loses, his supporters will turn violent once again and many,
many lives will be lost.
