Allowing people to build personal shooting ranges without regulation would could aid and abet people who fuel harm to society.
There fixed it for you.

Hence the violation!!!
"unbelievably, the
worst offence" so nothing to do with calibres, with mental health checks.
Fair enough....Allowing people to build personal shooting ranges or bunkers without regulation could aid and abet people who want too harm society....Imaging if shooting ranges were not regulated???
What makes you think someone with a personal shooting range wants to harm someone, is it bedwetting paranoia?
This was an underground shooting range so no danger of projectiles leaving his property.
No issues with sound unless you're on the range.
Yes we do have regulations for shooting ranges from the pics i see with this one it should comply. The only concern i had is with ventilation. It probably wouldn't be suitable for commercial use.
Indoor shooting ranges are great it removes crosswinds as a factor which helps with load development to improve accuracy for those who reload their own ammo.
Putting it underground is sensible for safety probably cheaper as well.
Here is a legal undeground range which is similar to pics i saw of one that didn't have approval.
You need approval to have a firing range....I never claimed it was not allowed....Otherwise community safety may be put at risk....I don't see the problem with prosecuting those who do not seek approval???
I agree with needing approval. It's bullshit to claim his range put community safety at risk.It was similar to this. Concrete pipe underground soil on top and sides. No chance of projectile leaving that pipe or range. I would say that type of range is the safest type anyone could have.
The range could have been perfectly safe which begs the question why he did not seek approval....Allowing anyone to build a firing range without approval could be dangerous which is why they are regulated....I fail too see what your problem is with complying to the law???
I don't know why he didn't seek approval perhaps he lives in a nanny state where it isn't given.
Yes i agree ranges can be dangerous many years ago i actually downloaded the regulations for indoor firing ranges and went through it with a friend who was going to build one
I didn't see anything he did that wouldn't comply with regulations for indoor ranges so it's bullshit to claim that range was a safety risk that puts community in danger.Air rifles have to be used only on
licensed ranges for target shooters even though most of them wouldn't penetrate a leather jacket.
A well designed range can catch the copper and lead from projectiles and feed them into a bucket for recycling which means range owner can make some money from scrap metal. If the shooters don't pick up brass cases they can make even more money.
So you're going to stop that community safety nonsense?
Lots of people have ranges in their homes outside of Australia
How would you know that a privately built firing range that was not approved meets safety standards....
When you have looked at over 100 ranges that comply with regulations you know what to look for. Like i said ventilation is the only unknown not likely to be a problem with only 1 shooter
How would you know the purpose of a privately built firing range that was not approved....
The purpose would be to shoot guns it's pretty obvious
How would you know a person building this illegal firing range was not a criminal or terrorist....
The guns were legally owned which means under the 1996 firearms act the commissioner of police was satisfied he is no danger to public safety. The police approved every purchase with his guns they would not do this if he was a criminal or potential terrorist
You don't which is why they are regulated and licenced???
The firearms were legal he didn't have council approval for range
