Daisies:
Quote:Daisies are a large group of flowering plants from the Asteraceae family, with about 20,000 species1. Some of the most popular types of daisies are the English daisy, the Shasta daisy, the Gerbera daisy, the African daisy, the Gloriosa daisy, and the Marguerite daisy1,2,4. The English daisy, also known as the common daisy, has a yellow center and white petals, and is native to Europe2,3,4,5. The Shasta daisy is similar to the English daisy, but larger and taller4. The Gerbera daisy is a colorful and showy daisy that is often used as a cut flower1. The African daisy has a variety of colors and shapes, and is native to South Africa1,3. The Gloriosa daisy is a hybrid of the black-eyed Susan and the coneflower, with bright yellow and orange petals1. The Marguerite daisy is a delicate and fragrant daisy that is native to the Canary Islands1.
African and Marguerite daisy sound like suitable flowering plants for my little remembrance plot. With the gerbera, of course, Mum’s favorite flower. All sheltered by bedleja.
