Aussie how many times in your life have you personally gone to a Post Office to collect cash in an envelope that’s being held there by an employee??

(I’ve asked an entire Facebook group and NOT 1 person there has ever done such a thing and I personally have never ever heard of such rot)

This is the 1st time I’ve ever heard of such a service.

Even so CASH in an envelope???

I have never used Poste Restante before but I knew about the service and did have a casual employee for one small job used that.

Also I honestly think Monk isn’t able to cook (like he did before) because he’s just getting too old. He’s pushing 80. He should be in care to be honest. He will end up falling (whilst drunk most probably) and hurting himself. As he’s a recluse he won’t be found until weeks later.  Even then it will be because neighbours will have reported a shocking smell coming from his place. I’ve spoken to police about his situation and condition (he’s essentially not compos mentis) and apparently this is HOW lonely recluses like him NORMALLY die. Apologies but I’m quite upset to know that this is considered quite NORMAL in our society nowadays. If the dhead was in Sydney I’d be able to help him out and get services sorted for him but he’s in another state. The problem even there is this : One has to be his relative or have power of attorney over him to organise services to help him out. Monk has siblings apparently. But the reality is this: they exist in name only. They’re MIA and I’m not surprised given his shocking personality disorder (it’s gotta be frontal lobal dementia plus age plus alcohol abuse driven).

It’s so sad because one day we’ll log in and his id will be deathly silent. And it will stay silent.

Stuffed if I know why that is relevant but the answer is at not time have I ever done that for anyone, including Monk.  I am not about to start doing it.
