Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Although obvious I am amazed Rupert admitted it....There are still those who believe the election was stolen despite there being no evidence....Even those pushing the lies knew it was bullshit!!!

Apparently Fox News didn't lie just everyone employed by them.

When Rupert got on the stand nobody noticed the line of busses coming down the isle.

Suzanne Scott - under the bus

Lou Dobbs - under the bus

Maria Bartiromo - under the bus

Sean Hannity - under the bus

Jeanine Pirro - under the bus

Tucker - under the bus

Attorneys for Fox Corp note in their filing that Mr Murdoch also testified that he never discussed Dominion or voter fraud with any of the accused Fox News hosts.

They say Dominion has produced "zero evidentiary support" for the claim that high-level executives at Fox Corp had any role in creating or publishing the statements at issue.

Dominion's contention that the company should be held liable because Mr Murdoch might have had the power to step in and prevent the challenged statements from being aired, they said: "Has no basis in defamation law, would obliterate the distinction between corporate parents and subsidiaries, and finds no support in the evidence."

The "handful of selective quotes" cited by Dominion has nothing to do with the statements that Dominion has challenged as defamatory, according to Fox Corp attorneys.

"Dominion repeatedly asked Fox News executives, hosts, and staff whether Fox Corporation employees played a role in the publication of the statements it challenges," they wrote.  "The answer — every single time, for every single witness — was no."

Meanwhile, Fox News attorneys note that when voting-technology companies denied the allegations made by Mr Trump and his surrogates, Fox News aired those denials, while some Fox News hosts offered protected opinion commentary about Mr Trump's allegations.

In a statement on Monday, a Fox News spokesperson said Dominion's view of defamation law "would prevent journalists from basic reporting".

Very weak argument, Every other news outlet managed to report on the event without telling lies about Dominion.

Quote:
epeatedly asked Fox News executives, hosts, and staff whether Fox Corporation employees played a role in the publication of the statements it challenges," they wrote.

They saying that Tucker and Co's and their producers writers didn't write what was being said ? They are not Fox employees ?

They all knew that the people they were putting on air were telling lies that they were supporting. They had direction to say what had to be said to support their political preference. There is a lot that shows this stated position is not correct.

There is not one Fox employee who has been willing to say that they believed that the election was stolen when under oath - not one. This is from Rupert right down the list through Fox Management the producers the writers and the Hosts. 100% of them knew from day one that it was a fair election

Why did the Network "Fox" amplify election fraud claims they knew were bullshit....Smartamatic are also suing Fox for 2.7 Billion dollars???

Quote:
Appeals Court Declines To Dismiss Smartmatic Lawsuit Against Fox News

A New York appellate court declined to toss out Smartmatic’s defamation lawsuit against Fox News and personalities including Lou Dobbs and Maria Bartiromo.

The appeals court ruling (read it here) stems from Smartmatic’s $2.7 billion lawsuit against the network, contending that its personalities and guests amplified Donald Trump and his team’s unfounded claims that the election systems company rigged the 2020 presidential election.

The ruling was not on whether the network was liable for defamation, but that Smartmatic had adequately presented its claims to proceed to the next stage of litigation.

So ABC management tells every employee what to say and write, ditto for The Granuiad, all the Schwartz media outlets, etc, etc.

I didn't know that ducky. Thanks.

I doubt that you understand just how dumb what you said is. Never worked in Broadcasting have you?

You think these guys just turn up and broadcast whatever they like each day and that management have nothing to do with it.

There is a daily meeting. Legal dept would have the opportunity to look at recorded content in the editing phase. In the messaging is record of management discussion and direction.i.e it was to support Trump in whatever he was saying. The Hosts talking among themselves had all declared that their guests were nutso.

They then went on air and supported the lies they told.

Management were fully aware that they were broadcasting lies and had been for months. The management team like the hosts all said that they knew the elections fair result by the 7th Nov.

In short Rupert was telling fibs.

If you work as an editor for Fox it will be fox paying your wage. When you produce a program it is fox that owns that programme. When the advertising dollars come in the money goes to Fox. When Tucker does his program he cannot decide that today he is going to release his show on ABC.

When Fox put their programme to air they have the option to broadcast or to not broadcast, they have the option to remove any segments they like. They do monitor what they are broadcasting. They monitor performance and have daily meeting to discuss issues including legal problems.

Fox broadcast the programs that they own and are responsible for.

Every news outlet is responsible for what they broadcast. Other outlets would take action against a host telling deliberate lies and it would not be part of company policy.

A big part of the issue here is the fact that Fox has never been a news outlet. They just do right wing propaganda. So much information got out only because they see themselves as invincible. Thay have been getting away with broadcasting lies like this for over 25 years.

Everyone from the ABC to The Granuiad is neutral, enjoying journalistic freedom, only all he Murdoch companies are partial and distated to by evil Rupe personally.
Even to cuddly Adams.  Who goes along with it while also working for the pristine ABC.

You live in a fantasy land, probably always have. Have more peas.

Well Meta claimed in their court case that their third party checkers were only opinion. So they canned people based on third party opinion. Roll Eyes
