Who buys broccolini anyway?

We do.  It's a milder flavour than broccoli, it cooks more quickly,
it's cheaper per kg, and it has less wastage than the thick stalks
that the supermarkets leave on broccoli.

Absolute rubbish!

That post exposed you as someone who doesn’t know anything about shopping for/cooking with either broccoli or broccolini. You couldn’t be more wrong even if you tried! Next!

I have to ask Lisa...

Was there any need for you to post such a judgmental, offensive
response?  We're all entitled to our own opinions on any number
of subjects, so it's hardly your place to so rudely gainsay mine.

And I stand by my opinion—just as you're allowed to stand by yours.

It would be nicer though if, in future, you refrained from attacking
other forum members with such belligerence.

Can anyone here let me know what exactly is wrong with this Lisa person.

She(?) seems to have some sort of massive chip on her(?)
shoulder, keen to attack people for no apparent reason.  Each and
every one of her responses invariably includes a couple of puerile
insults directed at anyone whose opinion varies.

I'm assuming she's one of these over the top, rabid feminists by the
embittered tone of her comments.

Or, just maybe, it's her time of the month?    Grin

Broccolini is nice, when it's 2 big bunches for $5 I buy it.

Broccoli is also nice and for anyone who doesn't eat the stalks, boil them up and eat them you food wasting babies. Do you also get your mummy to cut the crusts of your bread and core your apple for you?

I cut most of the broccoli stem into thin slices and add them to the stirfry or whatever dish. Tastes fine.

One thing I do with broccolini when asparagus is out of season is wrap the stem bit with pancetta and bung them in a 180°C oven for 15 minutes.

Asparagus is godly done that way—still crisp and the pancetta-asparagus flavors meld beautifully.

Dear God you are a bona fide gaslighting psychopath! You laugh at posts highlighting the abuse of women and children and right there in the above post you’re overtly sexist.

And how dare we expose you for what you are! You’ll hit back by scurrying off into other topics (like this one) to tell everyone how awful others are to you!

No dhead - my comments to you are not puerile insults. Unfortunately for you ... I’m just not afraid to tell you that you’re a rabid hypocrite with next level unaddressed psychiatric issues.

Aldi just won an award for best fruit and veg which must be a joke because it's the worst.

Aldi has some good stuff, and many products that are rebadged premium stuff but their fruit and veg is just garbage

No not Coles. Woolworths AND Big W. These 2 brands and ONLY these 2 brands.

Well Spot ... it may surprise you to know that some of us women have been/are still specifically selected and hired as contracted professional shoppers. We are essentially PAID TO GO SHOPPING because whilst we shop we get to compare and contrast shopping experiences and measure customer perceptions regarding measurable indicators like value etc. We compile reports based on whatever fact finding missions we’ve been hired for. Our feedback filters through various channels (from key decision makers within the organisation to online influencers on Facebook and Instagram etc).

It’s an interesting gig. I’ve always loved going shopping. I just never liked spending my own money.

Who bestowed this “award”?

Aldi’s fruit n veg is very average IMO.

Their meat is below average IMO.

Depends where you live.

"ALDI’s fresh fruit and veg shopping experience is like no other. Our produce is sourced locally ..."

The fruit & veg at my local Aldi is pretty good, as they source it from local growers and farms from the south west of WA (the best in the country).

Other stores, in other parts of the country, aren't going to have the same quality.
