I don’t buy Broccolini as it’s too expensive compared to Broccoli AND essentially you’re paying .... for the stalk.

The other thing is this : I grow my own broccoli and so does Anastasia (I’ve often spoken about her ... the Greek neighbour from Sparta) - she grows broccoli too. Btwn us we get to eat a lot of crispy crunchy fresh broccoli (it’s nothing like what’s sold in supermarkets).

I should point out that once you get into gardening and start harvesting/foraging each day from that garden ...you’ll reach a stage where you suddenly realise that what you thought was fresh fruit n veg from a supermarket....wasn’t fresh at all.

Our feedback filters through various channels (from key decision makers within the organisation to online influencers on Facebook and Instagram etc).

It’s an interesting gig. I’ve always loved going shopping. I just never liked spending my own money.

Yep....I’ve seen those before.

Look to be honest - I grow my own leeks, garlic, onions, celery, chokos, sweet potatoes, potatoes and so many herbs. Oh and cherry tomatoes too. Lots of cherry tomatoes in fact as I am into organic gardening only. No spraying/dusting allowed.

* It’s merely easy/lazy gardening IMO as these veges grow so easily on their own once you get the position right.

WRT fruit - you do have to buy top end product at Woolworths.

Lately, I bought sizzle steak and lamb chops from both big C and W supermarkets and they were horrific to eat! Chewy grizzly meat. So bad … yet prices we’re up there. I hadn’t bought meat for a while and succumbed to buying it from these 2 supermarkets only to throw it in the bin.
I normally buy free range chicken and Australian seafood… so buying red meat was a treat but wow… how disappointing it was.
I was pondering writing to let them know… but instead, my daughter and I decided we won’t shop there anymore… will stick with IGA and Aldi …
Until further notice…..
Fruit and veges I have to drive quite a distance towards the hills to buy local produce….and not cheap at that….
