The whole article should sound an alarm for any thinking person. 472 properties and he couldn't get one? Not likely.
You don't give up social housing unless you have alternative permanent accommodation and it's almost impossible to get kicked out.
It seems he's sharing a house now with other people because his track record is atrocious and no-one will touch him.

A HOUSING Trust tenant has turned his spare bedroom into a hotel room and advertised it for rent at $350 a week on a popular tourist accommodation website.
It is understood the tenant, Hayden Patterson, pays less than $100 a week in taxpayer-subsidised rent for the two-bedroom townhouse at Goodwood, but charged $65 a night for the spare bedroom.
Mr Patterson has been advertising the bedroom on the international website Airbnb, of which he has been a member since 2012, saying it can accommodate up to six guests a rate of almost $350 for a minimum of two nights.

The advertisement further stated the bedroom could sleep up to six guests for a minimum of two nights for about $350, The Advertiser reports.
With the consent of Housing SA, trust tenants are allowed to lease out a room however they could not confirm whether permission had been granted to Mr Patterson.
