CPM is counts per minute as measured by a Geiger counter.
You can actually hear them as Geiger counters normally have a speaker.

For the DU measurement see Reply #1 in this thread, 100,000 cpm.

The other 2 are from my own experience -
actually cpm in Melbourne is about 35 cpm normal background not 75 cpm.
A banana is about 200cpm -

he is simply putting his Geiger counter near a banana -
you can see the readout and hear the clicks and it's higher than the background.

I think the depleted uranium is on purpose. On one side, its an effective counter to heavily armoured Russian forces. And on surface it appear to be supporting Ukraine and its people.

However, the depleted uranium shells are still radioactive, with the amount used, will cause enormous damage to Ukrainian soil. Remember, Ukraine is the food bowl of Europe. This will ensure vast tracts of unusable land and too dangerous for human living.

These will essentially create areas of no man's land. My guess, is that, this is a subtle way for the UK government to tell Ukraine that the conflict should end soon.
