Failed ex-US president Donald Trump is set to spew out public word salads in Florida on Tuesday after being arraigned in New York on criminal charges related to hush money payments.

Defendant Trump, 76, is expected to be arraigned, fingerprinted and photographed at a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday as he becomes the first former US president to face criminal charges.

Joe Tacopina, a Trump "lawyer", said he expected more details surrounding the arraignment to be resolved on Monday and noted that the Secret Service, which protects former presidents, also has a role to play on Tuesday.

"All the Tuesday stuff is still very much up in the air, other than the fact that we will very loudly and proudly say, 'Not guilty'," Mr Tacopino told CNN.

"Hopefully this will be as painless and classy as possible for a situation like this."

Interestingly, he also said the court security's union is involved. That's a pretty big meeting, no?

The DA, the Secret Service, Manhattan police, JoeTacopino and the union reps.

They're clearly worried about another Jan 6. I guess you'd expect that after the number of cops off on long-term sick leave after Dear Leader's last big gathering, but do you know?

I wouldn't expect much out of Dear Leader's followers this time. The hard-core members are still licking their taser wounds from Jan 6.

The rest of them are sitting at home on the internet, gushing over Meatball Ron.

Ever get the feeling you've been tasered?

They probably then head off for several whisky shots after being shown to be protecting an accused man. Or maybe just codeine for the headache.

As long as they keep Dear Leader away from the steering wheel, it should be all good.

trump would be loving this.

the left could have starved him of oxygen.

but because they think about him 24/7 (much like a love sick schoolgirl)
they have given him centre stage yet again.

Oh? Not like low-taxed, well-run, law and order states?

Most stimulating. I'm sure fiscal policy and public sector efficiency matrixes really float Ron D's boat.

Still, it's a lot more fun bussing your illegals up to Washington for the fake news, no?

Not exactly efficient interstate liaison, but it's guaranteed a monologue on Tucker.

DRAIN THE SWAMP!!!

Actually he didn't have any illegals - he had to import them. Cost his state a fortune in tax payer funds ( or more likely federal grants) to do it. The issue is that there is a name for doing this. It's called people smuggling.

He was very lucky that none of the refugees he moved into freezing climates seem to have died. That wasn't his fault just luck.

Did you see the new obstruction charges etc with the documents case that were leaked the last few days. Looks like a truck load of evidence.

They have a diary that lists Trumps appointments and activity.
They have direct evidence that Trump personally directed documents to be moved after the subpoena was received.
They have direct evidence that Trump went through the document boxes himself and chose the document he wanted to keep.
They have evidence of people who were shown the classified and secret documents.

The good news for Trump is that it only adds up to about 50 years of prison time. Well a lot more than that but I'm sure he will get off lightly.

dangerous precedent

biden had classified documents in his glove box and scattered about as well.

any state prosecutor could likewise politicise and weaponise charges and take him out as well.

Yep, the obstruction charges will hit him hard.

His lawyers don't stand a chance.

This is gonna be so good to watch.

Incorrect.

Your ex-Dear Leader went into shock when he was informed of the grand jury outcome, according to Joe.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11923605/Trumps-lawyer-admits-ex-presid...

The big fella thought he could head Bragg off at the pass by threatening riots on Truth Social. Amazingly, after all his years in litigation, he still doesn't dig the wheels of justice.

This was a grand jury indictment. The DA had no say over the vote. Dear Leader's alledged crimes went through a jury of his peers.

This explains why a conviction is most likely to succeed, but do you know?

The big fella will most likely take a plea - 92% of criminal cases do. We will most likely never see a trial. Dear Leader will bargain down, cop a criminal record and host a beauty pageant for charity as community service.

The fake news will love that. It'll be the first charity work he's ever done. He won't be able to handle any money, of course - he's banned from running any charities in New York.

Still, it's the thought that counts, no?

The dangerous precedent is to allow Trump to remain above the law.

Biden and Pence both were in a completely different position. They both voluntarily returned the docs as soon as they were discovered and voluntarily allowed full searches where Trump was determined to keep his docs.
