This is becoming a marathon for science-based evidence!
"Dr" John Campbell is a charlatan, and Mel in Sydney
does not
know and cannot confirm that her Pfizer vaccinations
caused her condition.
Campbell preys on these sorts of people, and sucks them into
appearing on his dubious YouTube site—which should be shut
down due to promulgating false COVID and vaccination claims.
And of course ignorant, gullible people like Sir Lastnail are also
sucked in hook, line and sinker.
Campbell comes across as a benign, caring, harmless old bloke,
which is all a part of his carefully crafted image. He's just like
everyone's lovable, sensible grandfather. But it's all a false front.
There are numerous sites like
THIS and
THIS and
THIS and
others repeatedly and thoroughly debunking many of Campbell's
claims and exposing the disinformation he's spreading via YouTube
(and getting very rich in the process!).
The issue with this of course is that the anti-vaxxers like Sir Lastnail
will refuse to check out the sites I've linked to. Why is that?
Well, the answer's easy. They don't want to be disabused of their
anti-vaxxer beliefs—they're afraid that they might see some logic in
those science-based sites that'll shake their core beliefs and make
their stance a little shaky. In short, they're scared of evidence that
each and every one of their absurd claims could be WRONG!
And
THIS is one of Campbell's videos wherein he repeatedly
states the lie that the Vaxzevria vaccine was "banned" in Australia.
Let's be perfectly clear with this; it was never banned—in fact it
still remains provisionally approved here.
Despite quick assumptions by vaccine skeptics, the spokesperson
emphasised that while the vaccine will no longer be available, the
decision is not “
based on safety as some people have misrepresented
on social media"... such as "Dr" John Campbell?
“As expected, first generation vaccines have been superseded by newer
vaccines targeting the strains of the virus now circulating,” said the
spokesperson.
There are so many half-truths, misrepresentations, outright lies, and
distortions of data in Campbell's YouTube videos that it's impossible to
list them and therefore debunk them.
