Don’t believe anyone who says this is caused by poverty.

That's not what the Police Commissioner said; he was commenting on the under-lying causes of black dysfunction, and poverty, and crime in the Alice.

Welfare dependency among blacks has different effects to the 'safety net' as it affects whites (although poverty IS associated with crime in white communities also).

Quote:
I grew up in abject poverty. [etc]

Irrelevant, you are not aboriginal.

Quote:
A few key elements make almost all the difference between stable and healthy communities and those in complete dysfunction. These include adults going to work, children going to school, good early childhood care from conception, and respect for the rule of law.

All these elements are intertwined. High intergenerational welfare dependency goes hand-in-hand with all aspects of dysfunction including alcohol and substance abuse, domestic violence, and child abuse. These in turn give rise to unhealthy pregnancies and poor early childhood care, with the next generations behind before they’ve barely begun.

Correct. But you have cause and effect back to front as usual.

Black welfare dependencey was imposed by the invaders who considered blacks unable to participate in a non-hunter-gatherer economy, whereas whites are forced onto the dole when market conditions demand it.

Um - that's part of the quote from Warren Mundine, the author of that article... you understand?

The 'police commissioner' another contracted employee of the state and therefore one of the mates group and not secure via lengthy promotion and evaluation slides, is just parroting the official line that you would expect from a sheila-run Labor State government.  If they don't hold on to these things in spite of the evidence to the contrary, they might actually have to do something.

The Commish would be subject to discipline from his political owners as a contracted employee rather than as a properly appointed and promoted police officer.  The transgender appointee running around in a two star uniform over there in La-Laland was not promoted through the ranks and thus knows the ropes etc.... you could appoint anyone to that position.... any mate, of course, and for any reason.

You do understand what WAS this division of powers??  Huh

Grin  Grin  Grin  Grin  Grin So Indigenous don't go on the dole?  Would have been easier to just leave them out there in the Ning Nang Nong and let them hunt their food eh?  You are just plain silly.

Ok, but it's still irrelevant, understand?

Just because Mundine did it, doesn't mean everyone can do it - just ask the over 1 million whites in long term unemployrnent, living on the poverty-level  dole in Oz.

Except the Commisioner - at the coal-face of maintaining law and order, is NOT parroting the official line of the govt. - which is  people must find work or lanquish on the dole,  as per Keating's infamous "go get a job" remark.

Er...the invaders have set up shop over the entire continent, haven't you noticed, apart from land handed back. The h-g culture surviving alone, separate from modern Oz is impossible

Can you say "welfare dependency"?

More importantly, the Alice Springs Police Commissioner can say it..... as he did recently in identifying the underlying causes of the violence in Alice Springs

Go on. Say it. Welfare dependency.

You and I had a serious win last week.

The FAIR AUSTRALIA ads we launched on Wednesday are on screens across the country thanks to your support.

And they are having a REAL impact right now.

Since opening up on national TV about what the divisive Voice would do to my family, I’ve just been overwhelmed by the encouragement I’ve received from Australians.

On top of that, Peter Dutton appointed me Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians!

What a humbling week it was for me personally.

But for you and I who are fighting so hard to stop this referendum dividing Australia, it is proof that we’re on that right track.

And proof that we’re going to win this as more and more quiet Australians come onboard with the fight.

As I told Peta Credlin last week, people are sick of being pulled apart in this country.

We need to come back together and there’s no way that’s going to be done through hatred and division.

It’s going to be done by keeping us together as a nation and not dividing us along the lines of race.

Disfiguring your Constitution with a Voice will not create one job in a remote community, won’t build a single home where they’re needed, and will not lift one Aboriginal child out of harm’s way.

And aren’t we meant to be equal in this country?

The truth is that the Voice only speaks for you if you are Indigenous.

That means there would be an entire new chapter of the Constitution (on top of the ones about Parliament, Executive Government and the Courts) that you do – or don’t – get a say in, depending on the colour of your skin.

That alone breaks the promise of a great nation where we are “one and free”.

It shouldn’t matter if your family has been here 60,000 years or six weeks.

If you’re an Aussie, that’s it. End of story.

Yours in unity,

Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price
on behalf of FAIR AUSTRALIA

Like all conservatives, she doesn't recoginize the divisions caused by poverty; the country is already divided.

Where's the "hatred" in the Yes vote, which wants to close the gap?

She's seriously ideologically deluded.

OK......so how do we close the gap?

Yes, the constitutional voice is unnecessary, but she is remains seriously ideologically deluded, as mentioned above.

A better idea about the gap?

She apparently has no awareness of the egregious effects of destructive welfare dependency in black communities, being content in saying child sexual abuse must stop.

So many bizarre statements they're not worth discussing.

Now then - about this demand to alter the constitution............

No.

How do you know that's all she's content with?

Obviously you haven't listened to her about the other issues in regarding DV & murder, drug & alcohol abuse in remote communities.... & speaking on traditional culture that underwrites much of this behaviour.

Child sexual abuse has been her chief concern, since her elevation to the cabinet by Dutton.   She has previously also called for closing the gap, without saying how to achieve it, apart from "they (blacks in communities)  have to take personal responsibility."

Quote:

Those are all problems of individuals behaving badly, for which her solution is: "take personal responsibility"

But dysfunctional people in dysfunctional communities - the result of generational enforced welfare dependency - cannot take personal responsibility, they have to be taught how to 'unlearn' their learned helplessness.

Quote:

How does Price relate the catastrophic social dysfunction  observed in communities to "traditional culture"?

Well then - she's right in opposing this silly voice idea...... it's totally unworkable.
