Are you sure about that, Geoff?

Shooting the messenger again because the messenger doesn't support the British Biscuit Company's corrupt agenda Sad

There was no message - what you talking about. All he did was to avoid anything worth hearing. All he did was sabotage the interview.

Don't correct him Geoff.

Dnarever is upset because Elon in the name of the Internet wouldn't bow down to the Media's superiority and grovel.

If the interview went on - the Journalist would start accusing Musk with Racist, Heretic, Homophobe, etc.
Another big mistake the Journalist made was that he based everything upon what Eastern (New York) Americans wrote and not what 'Europe' thought.

Like I said - he reminded me of how Mothra, Smith, Peccary, Philperth, Dnarever here go about things against other members.  Grin

One thing we're all going to have to accept - It is in human nature to be occasionally mean-spirited, machiavellian and overtly narcissistic, particularly under the cover of anonymity, in the same way it is universal that we all feel an instinctive sense of rage when we're cut off in traffic.

No one can prevent spiteful, aggressive, (yes even hateful) responses on social media any more than you can prevent dogs wanting to sh!t in a park or people farting in public.

Musk should not be held accountable for not preventing every instance of human nature's darker side (with the exception of illegal statements) and, let's face it, the BBC is OK with being machiavellian or lying by commission/omission when it suits them - another human instinct: deceiving in the interests of self.

Right, and it is exacerbated in the case of celebrity where one is told how wonderful they are 24/7. This can be the same for vast wealth where one is insulated from the real world, I have seen this first hand as an observer.

Actually it is the direct opposite, those named here tend to deal in fact and avoid deflection and avoidance. The traits you guys are most proficient with. For instance in this interview Musk avoided all questions and avoided all fact - sound like the guy you see in the mirror each morning ?

Do you recall ever posting a fact that was actually correct or if so what decade it was in?  This is you, Frank and co.

Well, yes. The pursuit of high status for its obvious social advantages is older than human history.

As is bending the knee to high-status individuals, (or chucking rocks at them), is also older than human history.

In the case of the BBC sending in an underskilled journalist to face off with one of the world's highest-status individuals, is a testament to the BBC's corporate cowardice.

Yes Elton has been telling everyone in the world to do that for years. How does it help with anything? How did he do anything other than to waste everyone's time?

Yes, of course... Enter Monty Python... What has Musk ever done for us anyway?

How does he waste your time? You're just another codger on a bitching-bender.

ID actually flip that arguement on its head

I don't think that musk has a problem where he is being told how wonderful he is 24/7
The guy is running complex multiple businesses
And is probably handling stress 24/7
Thousands of emails
Hundreds of legal issues
Hundreds of diverse staff he is trying to coordinate
I would imagine the guy is fairly grounded

Where I think the problem lies is with armchair critics
Who think they are a lot smarter than they are
And they see musk and his high status
And they think I am high status as well
Why aren't I getting any attention

That really touches a nerve with the ego of people who lack humility

And so their petty little ego can get a little hit of dopamine
By declaring themselves smarter than musk

It's a laughable proposition
That people like Carl actually have the audacity to think they are smarter than musk
Who's achievements probably rival those of Albert Einstein

It's no different from a 140kg whale
Who gets around on a mobility scooter
Sitting on his couch watching
State of origin football
Screaming abuse at players for dropping the ball

It's just laughable nonsense

No. He told the Big Brother Media. He doesn't tell everyone in the world.

I thought it was a pretty good interview.

Both did well IMO.

Elon Musk was more persistent and in being persistent he managed to turn the interview around so the reporter was the one who was being interviewed. Incidentally that’s a strategy which many experienced businessmen often use if/when they’re challenged.
