That people like Carl actually have the audacity to think they are smarter than musk
Who's achievements probably rival those of Albert Einstein

Where did I say that I thought I was smarter than Elon Musk?

Link please.

Actually, I didn't think you'd have time to be posting on here today.

Shouldn't you have been at the Post Office in Nowheresville, Outback Queensland (population: still 10) to ask them what's happened to my white flags?

I'm anticipating your failure to provide a link so please don't forget to wrap up another one to send to me. Thanks.  Smiley

I don't think Albert would have paid $43Billion for a company that may have been worth almost $10 Billion.

Elton not only is not in the same game as Albert but he is likely not in the top 100 million. (being generous there).

I thought it was a pretty good interview.

Both did well IMO.

Elon Musk was more persistent and in being persistent he managed to turn the interview around so the reporter was the one who was being interviewed. Incidentally that’s a strategy which many experienced businessmen often use if/when they’re challenged.

It is a strategy that only works when the person involved is amused enough to see where it goes. Used the strategy myself both with success and not.

It works when there is a clear status or power differential, which in the Musk/Clayton case was a mountaintop vs a chasm.

It might work or fail in the case of two pissants facing off to see who can lift his arse higher to squirt acid further.

What are your thoughts on how journalists are handling the rise of alternative journalistic media?

Yes but Musk was allowed to overcome the mountain.

The person with the power does not use this type of strategy, It is used by the person without power and works primarily when the person with power is amused by it enough to see how it goes. In this case it was just a narcissistic waste of time.

Was he now!
