I have a doctor's appointment booked about half an hour before the partial eclipse in my region. Carl D suggested that there was not going to be a display of any more than 30% solar eclipse in my area. But, it might be enough to see what kind of effect this will have on the sunlight reaching my town.

There is another eclipse later this year—at least in the US.

I present the video from Dr Strong—you can find out if we get any of it here or not.

Unfortunately, the October 14th solar eclipse won't be visible from anywhere in Australia, it will be about the middle of the night here and the Sun and Moon will be on the opposite side of the Earth from us.

If we could see it from here there still wouldn't be any eclipse visible, this screenshot from Stellarium shows how close the Moon would get to passing in front of the Sun (I had to remove the ground to see it, of course).

This view is from Perth at about 1:30am and I played around with also looking at it from other parts of Australia - Hobart, Sydney and Darwin and the view is almost the same for all of them.

(The Moon is moving roughly from left to right in relation to the Sun in this image)

Times like this we need to go back to the flat earth system.

This Thursday, April 20th. Solar eclipse is visible from most of Australia. Total eclipse in Exmouth, WA. Partial for the rest of the country.

Next one is October 14th which won't be visible from Australia due to it being in the middle of the night for us (and the Moon isn't going to pass in front of the Sun - even by a small amount - as seen from here even if we could see it).

From here in Perth at 11am this Thursday.

Atmosphere removed in the second image.

The Moon is moving roughly from top to bottom in relation to the Sun.

Might make myself a pinhole camera to view it... and the weather is going to be perfect, sunny and 27 degrees forecast.

I won’t bother looking, such a tiny bit of the sun covered up, can’t see the corona, etc.

I have a relative living in Exmouth, she reckons the place will be inundated with visitors for the event.
