I did not steal any land. I live in a residence that my grandmother paid for and lived in before she died. Whoever had this house before my grandmother bought it, would not have stolen the land from the aborigines either. The frontier settlers fought and won the region that is now part of Central Queensland. For decades, even if we start at the 1970s, billions of dollars have been given to indigenous programs and whatever else that benefitted the descendants of the original inhabitants. For that matter, are there any "original" inhabitants in this region? Or are the indigenous people descendants of the ones that finally gave up/surrendered and joined communities prior to the 1967 referendum? For all I care, if pre-emption is what determines ownership, there is no way that you will find a descendant of those that originally settled this land tens of thousands of years ago.
