My son’s mother in law used to work in the entertainment industry.
She gathered a lot of posters of famous actors/actresses both national and international that they signed for her and she framed them. They would be worth a Bonza!
One of them she just sent me pic of was a signed poster with Dame Edna in the play “Tears before bedtime” …. My son stirringly says he’s going to put it on eBay! Grin

I saw him on stage at least a dozen times, and I always had to remind myself that Edna was actually Barry - when you watched her you just completely forgot.

Very sad that he's gone, but at least he had a good innings (horrible cliche) and he made the world a much better place when he was in it.

Humphries, 89, was found unresponsive at Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital on Thursday night, ABC Radio Sydney reported.

It comes after the comic's morphine levels were increased due to the pain he is experiencing.

'Barry has been in an increasingly perilous state of health,' said entertainment commentator Peter Ford.

Sad.

What a surprise the hospital killed him

Yes.

As ironic as it sounds, hospital is not where 89 year olds should be (generally speaking).

The last time my mother, who is a similar age, was in hospital the doctors actually told me to get her home asap as she had a better chance of survival at home than in hospital (and she did survive, thankfully).
