Imagine if this was like Amurika and every town had people entitled to own guns and defend self and property..... there's be about zero crime out there in The Nong...

But plenty of dead people.....like in Amurika.

... as long as they are the miscreants, does it matter?

It's a pity you are not hearing what he is saying, especially the 'either/or' at the end.

Different people require different paths to success via education and employment, some requiring external assistance with "indigenous focused programs" to get there, given the current miserable conditions of social dysfunction which is the current reality for many.

Pompous little ass, aren't you?  Once again - must be a thousand times now - not one of your fancy ideas has not been tried and not one has worked, and their social dysfunction is largely of their own creation, and they will only make it worse by alienating others.

Cheaper to round 'em all up and give 'em a Homeland that equates to 3.8% of the continent as does their representation in the population of it, and leave it at that.  Or round 'em all up and ship 'em out to somewhere they think will make them happy.

Don't tell dividie that - he likes to pick the eye out of a gnat at ten paces.... and he assumes an incredible lot about others who he doesn't even know.... that's why I don't bother to defend his statements against me - it drives him crazy.  coupla shots back to keep him stirred and away he goes....

Until I met him here I'd never have known that I adhered to the disastrous economic management of this country, and caused all the problems for the blacks and the housing crisis and all that..... apparently he assumes that since I reject his CDEP fantasies I oppose providing opportunities for Abos - when the truth is you can't even get many of them to school as the figures show, so why would you expect them to attend to learn a trade etc when Albo is holding out the prospect of a treaty that will give them riches for life on the basis that they were the first settlers?

The boy simply cannot be serious.

Dividie - bube` - you get them to school first and then we'll talk about further training.

https://ctgreport.niaa.gov.au/school-attendance

Attendance rates for Indigenous students remain lower than for non‑Indigenous students (around 82 per cent compared to 92 per cent in 2019). Gaps in attendance are evident for Indigenous children as a group from the first year of schooling. The attendance gap widens during secondary school.

And guess what - that includes in the city schools where there are plenty of opportunities..... so you see - the actual divide is very much larger in many areas - and guess what - it is all their own doing again.

BTW - Alice isn't finished - some movement will take back the streets..... but for the officials to do anything they need to get rid of the namby-pamby sheila government up there and get some real people in.... all the smarmy army BS isn't doing anything but encouraging lawlessness.

Vote Out All The Party Losers Who Won't Do their Jobs!  ... and get some balls back into leadership....... FFS ......

I told you so!!!!

Can you show the "pomposity" in :"Different people require different paths to success via education and employment, some requiring external assistance with "indigenous focused programs" to get there, given the current miserable conditions  (afflicting many) ...."

Thank you.

That do you, pompous little ass?  Nothing to do with what you posted below as your excuse.  I won't even discuss that stupid comment of yours above with you.... you work it out.  You've been given the information to do so time and time again.

Serious question, dividie - are you here just to try to gaslight people... Lefty in disguise again trying to work his loaf to irritate people?  It's not working - we're too sensible and stable for that.

Now stick to the subjects and leave off your silly little boy slagging at others over some mythical ideological stance you want to imagine they have.

Grow Up!

I would have thought you would take the opportunity to show where my analysis is flawed in a straight-forward sentence (which btw you posted) recommending "indigenous-focused programs"  ...which obviously require government planning and intervention, to expedite the programs to a successful conclusion.

Houses in the Alice have signs - For Sale or For Rent everywhere.

People are packing up and leaving in droves.

Alice is finished.

"Over 80 per cent of people said they currently do not feel safe, with over 60 per cent of people saying that they are considering leaving the Northern Territory, due to the crime."

And you are complicit in the cause of the problem in the Alice, namely,  the neoliberal economy's  failure to provide above-poverty jobs for all.

quick google

"Instead of viewing unemployment as a collective problem (as was the case in the Keynesian 'welfare state' era 1946 -1970s),  neoliberalism painted unemployment as an individual responsibility. The public focus shifted from ensuring there were enough jobs for all to a dialogue around individual employability."
