It just keeps on getting better.
Part of criminal defendant Trump's defence is that he claims
"She's not my type".
But here he is looking at a photo of E. Jean Carroll and mistaking her for his own wife.
The footage, from last October, included a previously reported but never publicly seen exchange in which the former president mistook a picture of his accuser, the writer E Jean Carroll, for a picture of his second wife, Marla Maples.
“That’s Marla, yeah,” Trump said.
“That’s my wife.”His questioner said:
“The person you’ve just pointed to is E Jean Carroll.” Criminal defendant Trump has said he could not have raped Ms Carroll, because
"she's not my type" and has called the case politically motivated.
Strange defence.
A normal person would have said
"I don't rape people".
Does his answer mean that criminal defendant Trump
does have a
'type' he would rape?
The
"not my type" argument didn't hold up too well in court in front of the jurors.
In an excerpt on Thursday from the October video deposition by Ms Carroll's lawyer, Roberta Kaplan — who is not related to Judge Kaplan — Mr Trump also mistook Ms Carroll for his ex-wife in a black-and-white photograph that shows him speaking to people at an event.
"It's Marla," he said, referring to his second wife, Marla Maples. Not his type, yet he can't tell her apart from his own wife
Can't wait to see how this ends.
