Charles and Meghan escape the coronation and apply for moon trip.

Camilla plays off a bare-chested
Putin
against Charles the Wimp.

The Royal coach gets 6 months repairs to flaky gold, Charles in tears
.

Won't it be great when all societies are reduced to one level of fairness and equality . . . except for politicians, industialists, popular culture celebrities, and diamond merchants? Who needs kings and queens? They are so old fashioned.

Interesting mind game: if Charles lived in no 21 in a block of flats in a laneway and went to royal functions, how long would it last?
That is, he has no palaces, no estates, no troops parading on his footpath.  'But I'm the king!" 'Oh yeah?'

Does Charles still have extensive security protection, in this hypothetical situation? Ay Jihadi would love to take a shot at Charles, to off a monarch. Many years ago, Charles was subjected to some guy firing a cap gun at him and then tried to storm the stage Charles was standing upon. I could imagine that after the coronation, someone might give a real attempt a go. They would only need an opportunity.

He has a cop on duty in the down-stairs laundry 24/7. Camilla buys a new door-lock and UK has Neighbourhod Watch.

Reads funnier in the original Mandarin, apparently.

Apparently the coronation ceremony cost has been "stripped
back" to a mere AU$189,000,000 [not a typo!] and the guest
list cut down from an estimated 8,500 invitees to a tiny list of 2,000.

In a recent YouGov poll, commissioned by the UK Republic
Group, 35% of those surveyed said they did "not care very
much" about the coronation, and 29% said they did "not care
at all
".

And from a pre-coronation YouGov poll commissioned by BBC
Panorama found that only 58% of respondents wanted the
monarchy to continue.

And yes... that's all real gold.  The royal coach is valued at AU$6,650,000.

But... The Evelyn Estate is just half an hour's drive from the
gold-trimmed gates of Buckingham Palace, but it feels like a
world away.  While at the palace they're polishing the silver,
tending the tulips and preparing the King's fine coronation
robes, at the Evelyn community centre they're unpacking
donated food that more than 100 families rely on.

Every week, volunteers transform this south London community
centre into a food store, allowing local residents to fill their
trolleys for a couple of gold coins.  They can't help everyone.
More than 60 families are on the waiting list.

silly anachronistic piece of pomposity on TV.

The First Fleet of convicts cost 12mill pounds in today's money.
The coronation at 60-100mill pounds gets you territory of Welsh, Irish, Scots, Oz, canuck, kiwi and some sea-gulls. You get what you pay for.

Anglo yobbos stop complaining.
I think it's quite normal for "His Majesty colonial subjects"
in Australia to finance his coronation unless your Anglo colonial
Disneyland becomes a sovereign independent country.

The British Monarch receives a yearly sum through what is known as the Sovereign Grant
which was in 2021 financial year amounted to a whopping $148 million in British colony Australia.

Absolutely on the money, athos. It's also 682mill Chinese yuan which proves that China has bought Britain. And millions of Chinese will starve to pay for the coronation.

Was feasting at the Cunton Tung Hah Don Bar 'n Grill yesterday and the manager shouted the bar for a toast to Emperor Xi.

We all had our glasses charged and cheered as one to Xi in the traditional Chinese toast, 'Fug Yu'.

Then it all got pissy.

So many Chinese online buyers run their accounts out of the UK or the US.

Why is that?
