A senior police officer who investigated Brittany Higgins's rape
allegation says he was under pressure from her, the media and the
police internally to charge Bruce Lehrmann.

Fronting an inquiry into how the case against Mr Lehrmann was
handled by criminal justice agencies, ACT Detective Superintendent
Scott Moller said the investigating officers in the matter were under
an exceptional amount of pressure.

Superintendent Moller said he believed there was not enough
evidence to charge Mr Lehrmann
but was told by ACT Commander
Michael Chew to "get it done".

In his report, Superintendent Moller described Ms Higgins as "evasive"
"uncooperative" and "manipulative"
.

It claimed that Ms Higgins repeatedly refused to provide police
with the phone she was using
at the time of the alleged incident.

I have a feeling that this saga has the potential to become a very big problem for Albo Labor.

Hee hee ... this is following the classic political nightmare path.

1. Person is "fully supported" by other ministers and the PM
2. Person denies doing anything wrong.
3. Person apologises "if any misconduct was thought to have taken place."
4. Person "stands aside" during investigation.
5. Person resigns (is sacked) from parliament.

Watch this space. The BH saga has a long way to run.  Cheesy

I reckon Senator Gallagher is up to her neck in this sordid saga.

...

Senator Gallagher has potentially misled the Senate

On the 4th of June 2021, she said in the Australian Senate that no one knew, but what we have seen today in the text messages that have now been released is that on the 11th of February 2021 – If nothing else – it is stated that she was provided with a copy of the project interview days before it went to air.

Should this be referred to the National Anti-Corruption Commission?

Women bringing a whole new perspective to politics..................  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

While ScottMorrisonGov definitely needed some 'maximum political damage' I'd prefer it was over something of true value to the Australian public.

Now - as I predicted - it's Labor (Labour after they threw U out of it) that needs a good dose of maximum political damage ......
