Oh, aquascoot... while I'm here... I saw somewhere earlier this morning where someone was preparing a petition to the Federal government asking for mandatory masks to be reinstated in hospitals and all healthcare settings Australia wide.

I can't find it again at the moment but when I do I'll let you know just in case you and wife would like to sign it.

Smiley

she will probably be too busy looking after entitled old hypochondriacs to sign it.

bring it in if they like,

they cant attract staff at the moment, so wearing a mask all day should see more early retirements.

and the young nurses have NO interest in cleaning up after the old demented incontient patients.

so looks like the government will have to start training nurses in voluntary assisted dying

oh wait

they are

I'm sure you'll be pleased to learn that the petition didn't even get off the ground.

Yes, that's it. 100% correct.

If you want to wear a mask go ahead it just proves you're a bedwetting science denier.

Masks don't work there is no evidence they work for respiratory virus it's unlikely they will ever have mandates for these again.

Data from Random Control Trials (RCT) is conclusive masks are useless for covid.

One day, you might say something that's correct.

Today isn't that day, sweetheart.

"A total of 21 studies met our inclusion criteria. Meta-analyses suggest that mask use provided a significant protective effect (OR = 0.35 and 95% CI = 0.24–0.51). Use of masks by healthcare workers (HCWs) and non-healthcare workers (Non-HCWs) can reduce the risk of respiratory virus infection by 80% (OR = 0.20, 95% CI = 0.11–0.37) and 47% (OR = 0.53, 95% CI = 0.36–0.79). The protective effect of wearing masks in Asia (OR = 0.31) appeared to be higher than that of Western countries (OR = 0.45). Masks had a protective effect against influenza viruses (OR = 0.55), SARS (OR = 0.26), and SARS-CoV-2 (OR = 0.04). In the subgroups based on different study designs, protective effects of wearing mask were significant in cluster randomized trials and observational studies."

Efficacy of face mask in preventing respiratory virus transmission: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Conclusions

This study adds additional evidence of the enhanced protective value of masks.

RCT are Random Controlled Trials the highest standard for evidence.

Masks don't work.

Dodgey studies are not the same standard as RCT which are gold standard.

And, you've brought up the Cochrane Review.... again...

Yes, masks reduce the risk of spreading COVID, despite a review saying they don’t

You're welcome (again).

Efficacy of face mask in preventing respiratory virus transmission: A systematic review and meta-analysis

I doubt anyone with more than half a functioning brain will believe a dickhead troll like you.

From your link

Quote:
4.5. Limitations and future perspective

The present meta-analysis still has several limitations. First, well-designed high-quality prospective studies and studies of masking in the general public are still insufficient.

Fourth, control subjects without masking are generally lacking in studies conducted in healthcare settings mainly due to the ethical issue.

We have current Random Controlled Trials (RCT) of masked vs unmasked which your link doesn't have any data on. What is the date on you link how much older and obsolete is it compared to Cochrane report?

Thanks for proving to everyone what a dopey dickhead troll you are. I don't know why i waste my time with dopey trolls like you
Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Masks don't work case closed only an idiot would argue against RCT data.

I see gas molecules that are way, way smaller than virus particles.

I suspect you've been looking at too many of those "BRAVE ENOUGH TO INJECT UNKNOWN SUBSTANCES BUT AFRAID TO BREATH AIR" stupid memes you post here from time to time.

Or are you the creator of them?  Undecided

And the gas molecules being so small is the reason why you can smell things like cigarette smoke and cooking smells (yes, even farts) through masks.

We've been through this many times on here.

Can You Still Smell Odours Through N95 Mask?

Quote:
You can still smell odours through N95 masks because the gas molecules are small enough to fit through the filters. N95 face masks are designed to stop viral-type diseases, such as COVID19, from spreading. While it can protect against large and smaller particles, the filtration isn’t enough to stop gas molecules.

So these bio hazard suits are totally pointless carl ??  Why don't we test an ordinary paper mask on you in a bio hazard environment and see if you are right carl ? Cheesy LOL

viruses are so small that they can't be seen even
with the most powerful optical microscopes.
