So, you basically went from enquiring about a rerouted number, to an issue that was sorted out by rebooting the modem.

Have you always struggled to walk and talk at the same time? I can call them to ask why they redirected my line whilst sorting out the issue you know. Doing one doesn't limit my ability to do the other. I dedicated an hour to finding the reason, after that I decided that it was taking more time than it was worth.

You can send Telstra an email to find out things. In your first post, you jumped from one issue to another and made them sound wholly related to the same problem. I am not the one who has trouble multitasking. You just write in such a confused manner, it is difficult for me to accept the blame for your faults. Or perhaps that was the issue. Did you mistype your business phone number wrong, and someone else started getting your phone calls?

By the way, I hope you were not on the phone whilst serving your customers.

Telstra low $1.92 on 29 June 2018; $3.01 14 May this year.

Makes it a 37% increase.

Past 12 month increase = 11.48%.

Your numbers are wrong, as well as your maths. Telstra'a latest share price is $4.32.

no, I explained what happened.  Roll Eyes There was no jumping. Redirecting my number created more than just one issue.

And yet you are the only one who needs it explained to you that others are quite capable of multitasking.

Some many years ago, I was trying to call a business. I dialled the number provided, but I got a private residence answering the call. She, through gritted teeth, told me the error that Telstra made about mixing up her phone number with a business number -- then she promptly hung up. Perhaps that was the similar issue, John?

I was demonstrating how people can misinterpret what others say, when what is wrote is confusing to the reader.

Still not recovered from when the Government irresponsibly sunk Telstra share value by undercutting their value when they swamped the market with T2 shares.

At the very peak Telstra 1 shares hit $10. They are still down around $7 from their 1990's value.

This is not a new number. The business has been here for over 30 years and the number has never changed. They redirected my line to the previous business owners mobile number. I suspect that it was some sort of default safety net built in for the business so that any interruptions to the line automatically were redirected to her number, but they should have changed that. I jumped through hoops with Telstra to have the number changed over to my name when I bought the business. I filled out over 5 pages of paperwork and spent hours on the phone with them, giving them my mobile number at least 4 times in those half a dozen pages. The previous owner filled out another couple of pages to the same effect. It's up to them to update their records so that the current situation matches whats on the paperwork they were supplied with otherwise what is the point of all the paperwork?

of course, all that is guesswork because I never actually got to speak to the fuckers

In other news, I had a love-hate relationship with Telstra of my own. Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to talk about it.

Apparently its figures are unreliable?     Embarrassed
