I really don’t know much about Aspro Clear. I’ve never taken it.

During a period of having the common cold or influenza, I usually put about a third of a glass full of lemon juice. Then I add the Aspro Clear to fizz away. Then I fill the rest of the glass with water to dilute the juice and mix in the Aspro Clear better. The lemon juice usually helps kill off the virus. The Aspro Clear does its job in pain and migraine relief (or whatever symptoms you have with colds and influenza).

If you have a constant cough, however, you should try diluted apple cider vinegar. And I mean "diluted" as in 1cm worth of apple cider vinegar per 15cm of water. That stuff is strong.

Interesting.

I usually grab 6 chicken legs from the freezer and pop them into a big pot with boiling water and use that to make a chicken soup. I usually add a few chopped veges but I try and make it more of a broth when I start hearing coughs around me. Lots of fresh lemon goes into it. I also chop up onions finely so that you can’t see them much in the broth.

It’s a great way to eat something that will provide fuel and warmth...and of course settle the cough.

The other thing we have and use here is this 👇

https://betadine.com.au/products/sore-throat-lozenges/

Nothing beats rest though. Sleep is medicine IMO.

Are you kidding me, Bobby? I have just checked the daily weather observations for Melbourne Airport for the last 6 months figures. You guys have cold nights no matter what time of year it is. I counted 11 days of December 2022, where the minimum temperatures did not get above 10°C. !!!

Meanwhile, I could not find a single December day that had minimum temperatures below 16°C. My hot water system gets shut off in October (at the latest), to save money on electricity. I do not put the hot water system back on until March (at the earliest). You, Bobby, must not shut off your hot water system at all.

Nope. We are inside, idiot! I just had brekky, soon we will do a 2Km walk. Socks won’t shiver then either. Did you not understand when I said she loves to go running in the sea when we visit the beach? Are you THAT stupid?

Sun is shining in through the big lounge windows, quite pleasantly warm here.

My hot water system is electric so it only heats up at night
when the prices are less.
It gives me hot water any time I want.

Tonight it will go down to 6 degrees.

So Mt Wellington not Hobart.

Do they really have snow every year on Mt Wellington or are you making crap up again?

You'll see Monk - very soon if not tomorrow -
first day of winter is today.   Brrrrrrrrrrrrr

The question is -

will Monk and his tropical dog survive this winter?

First day of winter is Jun 23rd, shortest day of the year and winter solstice.

You are not only an idiot, you are pig ignorant.

I do not know why people wait until the summer or winter solstice, and the equinox of March or September to claim the start of the new season. Why would you wait so long to claim that winter starts on the 23rd of June? Winter here starts when the minimum temperatures get consistently below 15°C. Starting from the middle of May this year, most nighttime temperatures have been getting below 15°C.

Summer temperatures here are usually when the nighttime temperatures do not go below 20°C. We get about 2 months of winter here in Rockhampton. Summer lasts from October to March. Autumn from March to May. Winter from late May to late July. Spring from August to September.

Geez, on the 22nd of June, I will have candles lit through the house as I rug up and watch some "Game of Thrones" episodes and empathise with the characters about their oncoming winter.

It's already cold enough to be winter in Melbourne.

It’s FREEZING ATM!

Rockhampton 11°C overnight minimum. Currently, 23°C at 10:30 in the morning. Typical winter weather here. And it will surely be a cold one this year.

Poor Larry, did you not read that the first thing Socks did on that 7°C Adelaide morning? She went and laid down in a big mud puddle. I guess it is the drugs have harmed your brain.

The Pitiful Piss Pot Penguin in this topic is merely projecting his own mental health issues. Again. No one really listens to him.

Have a read of the crap he’s written in the past 10 minutes.

He posted that Sydney’s current weather is like Tasmania’s.

I quietly provided him with screenshots which clearly show/prove that he’s talking his usual utter pitiful piss pot penguin poop.

No Larry you junky! The temperature range you posted for Sydney is pretty close to the weather here now. Do you struggle with comprehension? Then get off the drugs, junky!
