Trump nightmare comes true: Arrested for fraud and election crime

Prosecutors have started calling witnesses to a federal grand jury in
Miami after months in which activity in the Trump investigation was
centered on a separate grand jury in Washington.  The latest twist
in the inquiry into the disgraced former president's handling of
classified documents is the surprise revelation that a previously
unknown federal grand jury in Florida has recently started hearing
testimony in the case.

There are indications that the Washington grand jury may have
stopped hearing witness testimony in recent weeks, according to
three people familiar with its workings.

As for the Florida grand jury, which began hearing evidence last
month, only a handful of witnesses have testified to it or are
scheduled to appear before it, according to the people familiar with
its workings. At least one witness has already testified there, and
another is set to testify on Wednesday.

In simple terms, the people familiar with the matter said, if both
grand juries are in operation, it suggests that prosecutors are
considering bringing charges in both Washington and Florida.
It is possible that the disgraced former president could be charged
in one jurisdiction, while other people involved in the case are
charged in the other.

The investigation in Washington is largely(?) complete and that
prosecutors are now poised to make a decision about bringing
charges there while still weighing other potential indictments in
Florida.

Florida investigators have been scrutinising the roles of two Trump
employees at Mar-a-Lago, his private club and residence, for their
roles in the storage and security of classified documents there.

After prosecutors came to believe that Trump was still holding on to
classified material even after the subpoena, they sent the FBI to
search Mar-a-Lago.   Agents hauled away another 100 or so
classified documents that were discovered at the Florida compound
in violation of the subpoena.

(Failure to adhere to a subpoena in the US
can subject someone to criminal or civil
contempt as per Title 18 U.S.C. Sections
401 and 402, and result in a six month
prison term.)

That's okay, Bill. Mr Trump declassified them.

Also, presidents and chiefs of staff have the right to remove documents for safe keeping. That's executive privilege, you see. Presidents do it all the time.

The big question, of course, is why Mr Trump and Mark Meadows took those documents to begin with. Bobby says Mr Trump wants to continue to DRAIN THE SWAMP from Mar a Lago.

Bobby says the big fella's like a cunning sleuth, lounging around by the pool, combing through his files to catch crooks, expose high level corruption, stop wars, etc.

Hang on - stop wars? If Mr Trump took those documents so he could fix the DEEP STATE, why isn't he doing anything to stop WWIII?

Mr Trump knows Putin very very well, yes? No one's been tougher on Russia, believe me. So why isn't the big fella calling Vlad up to set him straight?

Mr Trump could easily pull out his naughty photos or tape transcripts of Vlad and say, "I refer to declassified document 4365A." Vlad would know exactly what the big fella's talking about, blush and say "ooh". Mr Trump could then tell Vlad to march his troops straight back to Russia where they belong, thanks very much, and give something to Ukraine for their trouble.

That's being tough on Russia.

Sleepy Joe, on the other hand, said to Vlad, "you go into Ukraine and Russia will be sanctioned beyond belief. You and your friends will lose all foreign assets and bank accounts. American business in Russia will cease immediately, and Ukraine will be armed to the teeth to fight back."

Vlad invaded anyway, so Biden went and did just that. Biden then took Air Force One over to Europe to get them on board too. They agreed. The EU put in sanctions and Russia lost gas contracts worth billions.

Mr Trump's still got the documents the FBI didn't get. All he needs to do is call up Vlad and use his blackmail. Mr Trump could then win the primaries, then the election and become president again.

Why else would he have taken enough government records from the White House to fill a basement?

Nothing to see here, Greggery. Mr Trump has every right to those documents. A minor bookkeeping error, that's all.

Look, it's just a silly witch hunt  you'll see, but if the big fella goes down, it's all good.

You can make good money in prisons these days. Mr Trump will use the opportunity to develop resilience, make some bread and set an example for the youth of today.
