Apparently after the search of his resort his legal team advised him to go to the investigators cap in hand and to negotiate a solution without indictment, seems that Trump refused.

Indeed.

They gave him chance after chance but he simply refused to follow the law.

He acted like he has done for his entire life - like a spoiled child (which he literally is).

Yes, and possibly New Jersey if the big fella's judge in Florida plays tricks.

Of course, under the constitution, defendants can't be tried on the same charges twice. The ace up Jack Smith's sleeve, as I think you've pointed out, is the federal charge of sending classified government secrets to the Bedminster Country Club.

This little crime isn't one of the 37 charges, but it's worth a good 6 to 12 alone.

Remember OJ Simpson? A glove got him off a first degree murder rap. When he finally got done for armed intimidation, the judge threw the book at him, giving him just the amount of time he would have got for killing Nicole Simpson.

One thing we know, the US justice system has a long memory. The big fella's not going anywhere, as his old buddy Bill Barr keeps telling us.

Bobby thinks Bill's a Democrat, the silly thing. We have to keep reminding him: the Republicans are supposed to stand for law and order.

The big fella's goons seem to prefer a third world banana Republic run by billionaire crooks.

Oddly enough, that's what the big fella says America's turning into. His chief complaint in this case is that an ex-president is getting charged. How very dare they do that?

If they had charged him when he was on the Apprentice, he'd be acting all miffed that they were charging a top-rating celebrity.

When you're a star, you see, they let you do it.

Former DNI
John Ratcliffe
says the FBI/DOJ is not applying the law evenly, as the clear-cut case of prosecuting Senator Joe Biden, who had no valid legal excuse or justification for possessing classified documents at his home, is being overlooked:

"As a former federal prosecutor, I can tell you when you line up the cases against Secretary of State Clinton, President Donald Trump, and Senator Joe Biden. There is no reasonable prosecutor that won't tell you that the easiest case to make, a slam dunk case, is that Senator Joe Biden broke the law. There is no legal excuse, justification, or rational that ever justifies a U.S. Senator having posession of classified documents in his home or his office."

From the Director of National Intelligence.

President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday announced that former Rep.
John Ratcliffe
(R-TX) will serve as his director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Trump said in a statement:

From exposing fake Russian collusion to be a Clinton campaign operation, to catching the FBI’s abuse of Civil Liberties at the FISA Court, John Ratcliffe has always been a warrior for Truth and Honesty with the American Public. When 51 intelligence officials were lying about Hunter Biden’s laptop, there was one, John Ratcliffe, telling the truth to the American People.

“For these and many other reasons, it was my great honor in 2020 to award John the National Security Medal, the Nation’s highest honor for distinguished achievement in the field of Intelligence and National Security,” he added.
