this cant be denied.

life expectancy has stalled and "health span" has been reduced.

in fact, people in the 1950's had 3 years of disability before death and that has blown out to 20 years of disability before death.

sure, you are less likely to die thanks to the enormous expenditure in technological solutions to "stop you dying".

but many people in their 50 's and 60's are now living with the consequences of poor health and are visiting specialists, consuming enormously expensive ammounts of medications , having enormously expensive treatment , just so they wont "die"

if the car industry ran on this model, you would get a new car and you would never service it, never  care about the sort of fuel that went into it, never worry if it had 2 tons of concrete in the tray, never check the oil or the trye pressure and then when it "got sick" 20 years before it would have , had you taken care of it.
you would have the government pay for a specialist tow truck to take it to a specialist car emergency centre. then highly paid technicians would use very expensive additives to try to keep the clunker going. you would have to keep going back every month to get more expensive components so it doesnt break down, fortunes would be spent rectifying the rust because you never cleaned it. the engine would be torn down and the taxpayer would fund for it ot be reassembled.
your car might be put on a waiting list for some proceedure, it might only be good for a very short trip to the shops before it blows smoke.


all of this could have been prevented. all this suffering and waste and inconvenience if you had just taken "personal responsibility" to look after your car and not wait for it to get sick.


and the sad fact is most people wouldnt dream of putting dirty fuel in their car, but they walk out of the servo with a donut and a can of coke which they put into their obese body.


until people come to this realisation, hospitals and big pharma will continue to farm you the way an unscrupulous mechanic would farm you if he told you never to bother with a service.
