July 4 - Monday, July 3, was the hottest day ever recorded globally, according to data from the U.S. National Centers for Environmental Prediction.

The average global temperature reached 17.01 degrees Celsius (62.62 Fahrenheit), surpassing the August 2016 record of 16.92C (62.46F) as heatwaves sizzled around the world.

The southern U.S. has been suffering under an intense heat dome in recent weeks. In China, an enduring heatwave continued, with temperatures above 35C (95F). North Africa has seen temperatures near 50C (122F).

Geologist, Professor Ian Plimer, utterly demolishes the
human-induced "climate emergency" fairy tale in three and a half minutes:

"[Six of the six] great ice ages started when we had more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere than now.
We have 0.04% of that gas in the atmosphere...
Well that means nothing to me, because the atmosphere has changed in its carbon dioxide content from over 20% to now, which is really low in geological time.
If we halved it, all plant life would die, and animals would die."

CPAC is a right-wing political organization.

They wouldn't have invited this guy or paid him if he was espousing action against AGW.

There has been a “staggering rise” in the number of extreme weather events over the past 20 years, driven largely by rising global temperatures and other climatic changes, according to a new report from the United Nations.

Extreme Weather Events Have Increased Significantly in the Last 20 Years

From 2000 to 2019, there were 7,348 major natural disasters around the world, killing 1.23 million people and resulting in $2.97 trillion in global economic losses.

By comparison, the previous 20-year period, 1980-1999, had 4,212 natural disasters, claiming 1.19 million lives and causing $1.63 trillion in economic losses.

A disaster related to a weather, climate or water hazard occurred every day on average over the past 50 years – killing 115 people and causing US$ 202 million in losses daily, according to a comprehensive new report from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

Weather-related disasters increase over past 50 years

The number of disasters has increased by a factor of five over the 50-year period, driven by climate change, more extreme weather and improved reporting.
