here. I'm a 4th generation Aussie with roots
in England/Scotland from the early 1800s.

My family has lived in Australia long before any
of today's Aboriginals have—like a couple of
hundred years in fact. How dare a 30-year-
old Aboriginal tell me how to live my life, or
even an Aboriginal "elder" who's younger than me?

I'm more than happy to live in a peaceful
coexistence with our Aboriginal communities,
but just as I don't dictate what they should or
shouldn't be doing with their lives, I have the
same expectation in return from them.

Just a passing aside - would they show any respect for OUR elders? Or would they beat them up for saying anything they don't like?

Do they show respect here and now? Look at this board and the way the Aboriginal apologists carry on .... of course - respeck' is always only one way... sort of a Black ghetto thing, you know..... look at the way they carry on about the Elder society that provides for them all....

I don't respect anything or anyone, if it hasn't been earned. It's not a birthright. Look at Putin. Everyone bows and scrapes before him, but no one respects him. That's why he sits way down the other end of the table, and needs well paid bodyguards.

Albanese likes to say the referendum is not about R and R, its about representation in parliament. No one is contesting that. He's just trying to avoid talking about what the Voice will want and try to shame a guilt-ridden parliament into granting. With a Constitutional amendment to back up its legitimacy, they'll get anything they want. As the PM said, it would be a brave government that goes against the Voice.

Not quite - most are contesting representation in Parliament outside of the normal ways... no such right exists or can exist.... and the Aboriginal Victimhood Industry says they will not accept simple recognition, so they have sunk their own boat.... it's called 'abysmally stupid' ......

I accept zero responsibility for any adverse outcomes from not voting for that atrocity.

Again I predict an 80% landslide against it......
