Grant said that when he "pointed out that the Crown represents the invasion and theft of our land" during the coronation coverage, he had been speaking with love rather than hate.

"I repeatedly said that these truths are spoken with love for the Australia we have never been," he wrote.

Every non-Aboriginal is an invader and a thief - but Stan loves youse all. He just thinks your are invading thieves.

Grant made provocative comments on an occasion that a great many Australians were looking forward to and felt very strongly about. Unsurprisingly he copped a lot of backlash. Naturally he plays the race card and whines how he was 'hounded' from the ABC....into a nice little sinecure with a university...The horror! Roll Eyes
