Then how did this story get out?  The teacher told the parents of their good deed?

So it's just drawing hearts now?  What about WHY they were drawing hearts and such and being told they are apologising for their evil White ways... their unconscious racism and privilege... you know...

As with the transgender insanity - LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE!

Ohh shut up you fool. My God I've never met anyone who cries as much as you do. Do you really think preschoolers give a shit why their teachers got them to draw hearts?

Forced, John.

They were forced.

It's right there in the thread title.

These kids were tied to their desks and forced to draw hearts on paper cards that their teachers had made.

They were then marched out into the school quadrangle and forced to apologise for ... something (?) ... in front of the entire school.

This is child abuse on a whole new level.

They had to colour in the hearts, John.

Think about that for a minute - not only forced to draw hearts, but they were then forced to colour those hearts in with an assortment of colourful crayons.

The Australian Human Rights Commission will be hearing about this from me in the morning.  Mark my words.

Who'll be crying when the voice bites the dust.... and rightly so.... it's a generous offer - all we have to do is surrender to those who lost their wars and all will be jake...

No wonder they call those dick-heads in Cambra and elsewhere surrender monkeys....

Nothing more than the formal apology endorsed by all , even Dutton, given by Rudd.

Get yer hands off it, you faux outraged wankers.

No comparison. Rudd & Co are adult politicians.

Hanging guilt trips on pre-schoolers is not the job of their teachers.

I hope you don't have children or grandkids if you agree with hanging that shyte on them.

Expressing regret for something that happened years ago is not a guilt trip, you idiot.

Why should pre-school children be expressing regret for something that they wouldn't understand be something considered suitable for children of that age?

You're the phukkin idiot... no wonder you were a midguided

un
t
of a lawyer.

They spell very well for pre-school kids, don't yer reckon?

Indeed they do.

And their writing skills are quite advanced   Wink

If anyone believes those cards were made by preschoolers, I have a couple of bridges for sale that they might be interested in.

Hindmarsh Island type bridges?

Pre-schoolers or to grade 6 primary schoolers....

it's inappropriate indoctrination ... & hanging guilt trips on impressionable young children.

To a limited extent, I agree Aussie.

But the point of this debate is primarily not
about that specifically, but about the age of
the pre-schoolers at 3-4 years, and the "right"
of their teachers to imply that they're all
responsible for the historic wrongs committed
against our Aboriginals, and the wrongs still
being committed today.

It's perfectly okay for thinking adults to express
their regrets/apologies etc, but not for little
children who're barely self-aware, let alone
aware of historical wrongs possibly committed
by their ancestors and/or family.

(BTW, you don't need personal
insults to make a point in any
debate.    It only weakens your
argument.)

Those kids would not have a clue about the whole thing, and will remeber zero, just like I remember zero of whatever the Sunday School teacher said when I was four.

Thyt got to make a drawing on a card with words on it, words they would not have a clue about.

Might have made the teachers feel warm and fuzzy but that's about it.

My comment about 'idiot' was not addressed to you.  It was addressed to an idiot.

Grin says an idiot... birds of a feather ... yes?

When did they say sorry?

And where is your proof?

Calm down for a minute and look at this click-bait story objectively.

Where is the evidence that any child was forced to do or say anything?

Over to you ...

Waiting ...

Looks pretty much like the card starts with the word "Sorry" to me.

"Sorry for hurting the Dharawal people" is what it said.

I wonder if what that "hurt" was, was explained by the teacher? Grin

They'll consciously remember zero - but the silent invasion of their vulnerable psyches will have done its work.... Socialisation 101....

Bet they all grow up steeped in climate change, renewable energy, their new version of those nasty boomers, Aboriginal rights, gay rights, paedophile rights and equalities, how their future was stolen and they face an impossible task to own a home of their own, how hard they work on their arse all day, how difficult it is to get into a profession controlled by Old Many-Coloured Women,  how the Matriarchy Grinch Stole Christmas while blaming it on the patriarchy, how single motherhood is a noble profession with Entitlements™ and is every girl's birthright and fathers have no rights compared to the absolute possession of women of children, how their group are victims endless since St Greta the World Leader at the UN says so in her press releases orchestrated by the now-Aboriginal St Brittany of the Late Night Stand, and they will happily pay the rent to go down to Bondi beach for a quick swim after a hot day at work since it is all Aboriginal land anyway and they are just guests ...

They won't have to think it through - it's all just there in their belief system.... and those Asian Invaders are not nasty - they saved the country from itself!!! Don' cha know?

"Asked"?

Oh, so they weren't "forced" - according to the lie in the thread title - they were asked.

And, those cards were not made by children - they were made by the teachers.

So, once again, we have confirmation that this story is a complete & utter fabrication.

More bullshit from Channel 9 and Gordon.

What a load of twisty tripe.

2GB listener Kim told Chris O'Keefe that her four-year-old twin grandchildren had participated in a lesson of painting cards apologising to First Nations people on National Sorry Day earlier this year at their preschool in Sydney's south.

One card read: "Sorry for hurting you. Sorry for hurting your land."

Looking at in one way, you could say it's a way to introduce young children to empathy, history, and social justice. While the children themselves may not have been responsible for historical injustices, the goal could be to help them understand the impacts of those actions and to develop a sense of responsibility towards creating a more just society.

However, it's obviously a highly sensitive area in society, and it may have been prudent to consult with parents beforehand.

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

All the moronic shibboleths to justify indoctrination.

Focus: PRESCHOOLERS.

Drawing hearts on a card.

You poor little snowflake.

What click-bait will you be triggered by tomorrow?

I'm curious.

So you're saying no pre-schoolers can read....

that none take in anything said or shown to them by their teachers?

Makes you wonder what's the whole point of sending children to pre-school or school at all ey?

Tell me how did you get or how you were educated?

Did you not go to school until you were weaned? ..... say about 13? Grin

Those words weren't written by the children - even Frank admits this.

As I've stated before, there's no proof that any child was made to do or say anything.  None whatsoever.

The thread title is an outright lie.

The "news" article is click-bait designed to catch poorly educated people looking for something to be outraged about.

When will you alleged adults decide to get off this pathetic merry go round which involves repeating the same arguments that have been discussed SEVERAL TIMES already?? Asking for a friend. 😐

These kids were co-opted into an exercise pushing the culture of guilt.

Four year olds didn't hurt anyone and  don't need to apologise to anyone.

I don't see any indication the kids were learning facts about history. It looks like gibberish to me. What they are being taught is a guilt trip. This is the sort of thing that should be left until high school history when they are mature enough to handle the facts. The people who push this would be up in arms if the kids learnt the same facts on a children's TV show.

The only thing these kids 'learned' if anything was how to draw a crappy heart on a piece of paper.  As you acknowledge, it is gibberish, as you would expect from four year olds.
